    perfect for pc28 panos

Comments about Sunwayfoto DMP-140 Multi-Purpose Rail Nodal Slide:

Like all Sunwayfoto products, this rail is a quality product. Packaging was excellent. The additional bubble level is nice to have and works well. I am using this as a pano rail on a RRS BH55, and a pc-Nikkor 28mm f3.5 shift lens. There is no interference even at maximum vertical shift.

Comments about Sunwayfoto DMP-140 Multi-Purpose Rail Nodal Slide:

This short version nodal slide is very nicely made. My primary use is as part of lightweight pano equipment using the arca swiss P0 head with arca style clamp: see customer reports of Ben Jacobsen and bullmoon. It may also serve as a improvised macro focusing rail or to better balance collarless beefy lenses on the ballhead.

Beware of a limitation! As a short nodal slide it is 10-30mm too short for perfect nodal alignment with long retrofocus wideangles. Tested examples: it is too short for Nikon DX 10-24mm and Nikon FX 14-24mm. Because of the large DoF, you really would like to do nodal alignment in panoramas including close foreground. So either use a longer and heavier nodal slide or compromise.
