The black and gray with orange webbing CB-01A Production Bag from CineBags now replaces the older CB01 version. It remains a padded waterproof material shoulder bag made to carry production accessories but is a bit larger than its predecessor.
The bag has four removable interior pouches for carrying most of the accessories you need for production in the field. The additional four non-removable exterior zippered pouches also hold small items such as adapters, tools or a phone. An additional improvement is that the outside pouches now have zippers rather than the previous touch fastened style. The bag has a reinforced bottom rail for ground protection in foul weather. The bag is made from a reflective waterproof material with an oversized zipper for easier access. There are dual center carry handles and an improved large shoulder strap made with an anti-slip fabric.

I bought it on Friday, used for the first time on monday. I was shooting on the street, a very hectic shooting day. I needed to bring the bag and the lenses case next to me. I dragged both for 3 feet on the pavement... and voila!!!! a hole on the base of the bag!!!! I had a Husky bag for 3 years, I dragged, throw it, pull it, hang it, and never had a hole on it. I cant believe, it didnt last even a week. Trying to contact the factory now, cause it doesnt qualify as a manufacture defect.

Greatly useful bag. I bring it on set whenever I pull focus or slate and I just keep all the AKS that I think I will need throughout the day and throw it all in there, along with my markers, tape, tools, and slate. I have yet to be on a job where something I need doesn't fit in it (aside from lenses or Panavision brick batteries), so its nice not having to go back to my cart all the time - its all in my Production Bag!

Comments about CineBags CB-01A Production Bag (Black and Gray with Orange Webbing):
I can work more efficiently in the rain. This Cine Bag is more organize-able than the Arri 1st AC bag. Theres s great amount of compartments and pockets which helps out with finding tools and expendables. The Cine Bag is not as water proofed as the Arri bag, but for the cost of the Cine Bag, its pretty good. I wouldn't recommend letting it sit in a puddle. its comfortable to shoulder and theres plenty of space inside to keep things dry. It even has a compartment for your Advil! The only true con is that the next bag up is pretty big and would only really suit the need for keeping a camera and all of its suplies inside. I don't need a bag that big, but would love the wheels that the big bag has and put it on this one. Maybe a year from now wheels and pop out handle will be available on this size. Meanwhile, hacked off suitcase wheels will do!

If you're shooting on location with a lot of gear and need rugged, functional storage that won't sag, rip or fray, look no further. It adapts to a variety of needs in the field whether you're shooting larger camera formats or DSLRs (or both)…as well as location lighting and production gear. We beat the heck out of our CB01s on the streets (and cab trunks) of NYC. The pockets are all oversized and deep. We put several of the small Pelican cases holding electronics like PocketWizards or lightmeters in the outer pockets. The front pocket is actually large enough to hold (2) Manfrotto Nano stands if we're trying to put everything in one bag for a small shoot. The heavy 600D material doesn't sag or rip and the zippers are large with pulls and smooth but secure. There are heavy rubber runners on the bottom and the internal compartments can be configured in a number of ways, making it feel like it was made exactly for you and your kit's needs. We have several of their products and all are the same high quality, smart design, rugged, customizable bags.
Here is one of our CB01s which we use for location lighting, the CB01 makes a great solution for our Canon strobe kit complete with 6 speedlites, all mods and mount accessories needed, black wrap, radio triggers, batteries/chargers, tools, magic arms, clamps, cables etc. These bags hold A LOT.
