LG once again ups the ante in TVs with the 26LS3500 26" LED HDTV. The 26LS3500 uses a 720p LCD panel with edge LED lighting. The edge lighting is capable of local dimming for increased contrast in dark scenes and better contrast than LED or LCD televisions with constant back lighting.
The 26LS3500 has many connection options, plenty of HDMI 1.4 inputs (2), analog component and composite video and includes an ATSC / NTSC / Clear QAM tuner.
Get easy self-calibration with on-screen reference points for key picture quality elements such as black level, color, tint, sharpness and backlight levels. Take the guesswork out of picture adjustments with Picture Wizard II.
LG's LED technology provides a slim profile and delivers amazing brightness, clarity and color detail, as well as greater energy efficiency compared to conventional LCD TVs. I purchased this TV for my bedroom. Its just the right size and is ultra thin. It required a bit of adjustment beyond the factory presets to get things just right but I now am extremely happy with the color, sound and clarity. The only thing I'm not happy with is the red glowing LED in the lower right hand corner which indicates this TV is on standby. I haven't been able to figure out how to disable it.
B&H did a remarkable job of packaging this item and getting it to me quickly. It was delivered within 2 days of placing my order. It was nicely over packed into a secondary outer carton so when I removed it the original OEM container was still in pristine condition, almost as if it were hand carried from a stocking showroom floor.
