The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX150 Digital Camera is a versatile point-and-shoot with a sleek design and even more impressive megapixels thanks to its 18.2Mp Exmor R CMOS sensor. When you consider the camera's 1080/60i video capture functionality, it's easy to see why it's one serious memory-making machine.
The camera is helped along in its mission of making great memories by 10x optical zoom, 20x Clear Image Zoom, a Sony G lens, and a 3.0" Clear Photo LCD, among others. Of course the numerous auto functions also help you to make the most of each snap, by leaving all the leg-work to the WX150. Features like Background Defocus, Intelligent Sweep Panorama, Anti-blink and others all take the guessing out of shooting - no matter what the situation.

if you're looking for a great family camera that takes excellent videos this camera is a gem. don't be intimidated by the vast settings and functions in the description - this camera is easy to use out of the box. the on board guide and menu is intuitive and fast or choose easy mode. the video quality is excellent as is the panorama feature. it's compact size does fit in your pant pocket. even so i plan to buy a security tether - i was making myself nutty by constantly checking my pocket to make sure camera didn't fall out or was stolen.
first use was in wh mts nh where action and group shots, videos, mt panoramas in sun, shade, cloud, dusk totally on auto setting. in bright sun could barely see subject and missed having a viewfinder but shots came out great with "point&shoot" method. photos printed in 4x6 format so cannot confirm/deny color distortions in size > 8x10 as noted in some of the online reviews. I did notice that one shot on moving roller coaster is fine, while next shot is every so slightly blurry - probably need to learn how to use manual settings.
I took 182 photos/videos/pana, using 2 batteries over the course of 5days. charging the battery using usb cable took < 1hr (lost the wall charger on the trip).
the only down side is the on/off switch. both my 7yo son and i have small fingers and still had trouble. ideally it should be slightly raised like the buttons on the back.
i also bought:
NP-BN1 Rechargeable Battery Pack
8GB SDHC Memory Card Class 10
LCD Screen Protector Set (all sizes from 1.5 - 3.5)
SD/MicroSD/MMC Card Reader/Writer

Well I wanted the blue camera when I ordered but somehow the black version arrived. When I wrote back I was told I could exhange it but I decided to live with it...Not B&H's fault. The model numbers were so close - B (for black) and BL (for blue). I had inadvertantly copied down the wrong model number...So always double check your orders (especially phone orders)...

I've only just started using it and am very impressed with the clarity of the pictures, even when taking pictures of my active toddler moving around. My old camera always took blurry shots under these conditions.
I'm a little frustrated by the processing time between pictures, though, because it prevents me from getting another shot right away.
All in all, it is a good little camera that I got for a great price.

I love the camera for the price. We have a Canon DSLR, and wanted a point and shoot that we could more easily cary around. We did not want to spend a lot. This camera shoots very good HD video! I would suggest getting at least 16GB plus. The highest HD video will shoot about 35-40 minutes on an 8GB card. It will take about 1100 to 1200 photo in the highest quality on an 8GB card as well. The extra features for 3D, and the Panoramic are not what I really care for. It takes great photos and nice HD video, and has a fast response. The features are so, so. Some of the user interface is organized weird. But all in all, it's great!

First the camera...I am an amateur. I love this point and shoot!! Very clear picture and video! Perfect for our family! It's small size is very convenient as it can fit in my jean pocket with no problems! Camera gets an A plus as it does exactly what I need. I didn't want a complex camera but also I wanted very clear photos and I'm receiving that.Secondly...the company! I ordered this out of my frustration. I placed an order with competitor and was told I would receive it by a certain date. I did not receive by that date nor was I notified by email or phone. I card company who states it is on back order from distributor!! Called BH got friendly service and product when I was told! Best customer service ever! Thank you! Thank you!

This is the perfect little camera to tuck into a pocket. It has instructions for settings right in the camera -- no leafing through a book. I've had a number of other pocket digital cameras, and this one is the best for clarity, zoom, and ease of use. Plus, it's relatively inexpensive. I comparison-shopped on several websites that rate cameras of this type, and the Cyber-shot rated near the top in all the lists. It's an excellent buy. Have not discovered any downsides in the few weeks I've been using it.

Comments about Cyber-shot DSC-WX150 Digital Camera (Silver):
A lot of camera lovers examine very tiny sections of a camera's pictures to try to determine its quality (100% crops). This camera made me realize how unproductive that is. What counts is the picture you shot, or some large crop of it, not the minutia of how some 2% part of it appears. The full size pictures are just terrific. Do not pixel peep! Look at the "big picture".
Some details: metering is very good, autofocus is right on, white balance is fine except low light indoors, but the custom white balance is easy to set and works well. The lens is great, really. In comparison to Canon P&S lens there is no comparison, the G lens are sharp edge to edge, corner to corner right up to 10x (and the Clear Image Zoom to 20x is very useable).
The only problem is that there's no way to force really high shutter speeds when you want to stop action.
But otherwise just a great camera to take anywhere, anytime and get good pictures. No pixel-peeping!

I have struggled with so many so-called "easy-to-use" digital cameras in the past, i christened my pix to be from the "BETTER THAN NOTHING" School of Photography! But this Sony Cybershot by far has all the zoom and macro features i want, but also beautiful distance, landscape, night, and portrait shots. My travels throughout Dubai, India, and Kashmir have brought me wonderful memories of friends and places... And now I have the photos to prove it!

Comments about Cyber-shot DSC-WX150 Digital Camera (Black):
Overall, very good camera. Basic picture functions good and easy to use along with some more advanced functions. Has fun picture effects like shooting a picture in black and white but with one color visible. One major drawback is the recharging system... I got an extra battery so I could charge one while using the other and have a charged battery in reserve for long trips, but the charger is a USB cord that connects to the camera, there is and adapter for an outlet so you can charge from the wall or your computer, but the camera doesn't come with a way to charge a battery separate from the camera.
