The Dynapower USA NetStor NA211A TurboBox PCI Express Expansion Box for Laptop is a revolutionary product to solve the limitation on the I/O expansion of your laptop. You can add PCIe slots to your laptop through the supplied ExpressCard34 that provides a simple and cost-effective solution. This enhances the I/O capability of your laptop and you can add any standard PCIe cards. It supports up to three full length PCIe cards.

Excluding the slot of the target adapter, the PCIe Expansion Box provides three slots (two PCIe x8 slots and one PCIe x4) that work well with any standard length PCIe add-on cards. It includes a high quality power supply for sufficient power and a quiet cooling fan for self-contained ventilation. The Expansion Box easily connects to your laptop through an ExpressCard34 adapter. Additionally, the TurboBox is verified by CE and FCC and is compliant with RoHS regulations.

External Three PCIe Slots Expansion Box
The TurboBox NA211A features easy plug-and-play installation. It requires only one PCIe x4 data cable to connect NA211A to host computer without any driver needed. The three available PCIe slots provided by the TurboBox for expansion of I/O capabilities support combination of x1, x4, x8 and x16 PCIe full length cards with a robust, firm aluminum housing for highest protection. You can also add full height cards to a small form factor system. It is suitable for audio, graphics and video capture cards. The dedicated fan inside the Expansion Box is designed to provide finest cooling for any PCIe card installed inside. The TurboBox is ideal for system testers and engineers who may need to regularly swap out I/O cards. You can expand an existing system's I/O capabilities without having to purchase an entirely new system.
Compatible with Sandy Bridge Microarchitecture
The TurboBox is compatible with most current PCIe 2.0/Gen 2 specification as well as Intel's latest Sandy Bridge processor microarchitecture. As the TurboBox NA211A works with current Intel's 6 series chipset laptop, the ExpressCard34 connector supports throughput of up to 5 Gbps. It provides fast and reliable data throughput as well as bandwidth for users in different working environments.
Cost-Effective Solution to Expand I/O Capabilities
The second generation I/O capabilities expansion system, TurboBox NA211A, provides most efficient ways to maximize your existing laptop's I/O capacity and performance. An excellent option as an expansion solution, it allows the user to add up to three PCIe cards to their computer or IT infrastructure.
PCIe 2.0 Host Interface
The TurboBox offers up to 20 Gbps bandwidth and allows for higher powered slots which support the new and high-performance graphics cards. It is backwards compatible with PCIe v 1.0 and v 1.1.

Comments about Dynapower USA NetStor NA211A TurboBox PCI Express Expansion Box for Laptop:

Limited by the Laptop PCIexpress bus I cannot get two streams of HD. I currently have a Decklink Duo in the unit with an eSata Raid controller. I can get one HD channel or two SD channels at DV 50. To be fair, it is quite large for the capability and I probably would have been better served with the smaller once - especially in the name of portability. Also, when you click the the ExpressCard eject button on the top of all Apple laptops (shows up in the upper right hand of the screen when an ExpressCard is inserted)the upper right context bar crashes. Not that big of a deal but a definite bug.
