The black Lens Changer 75 Pop Down V2.0 from Think Tank with its pop down feature provides a safe and secure home for your 70-200mm f/2.8 or 100-400mm f.4 lens (or similarly sized lens). The lens pouch is designed to expand downward to accommodate your lens with its lens hood attached in shooting position as well as fitting inside with its tripod collar. This will save you effort when it comes time to remove the lens, mount it to your camera and shoot.

It's a mid-weight padded pouch with a top grab handle for easy transport. It also contains slip pockets for lens caps that always seem to get lost. Access to the lens is easy via its wide mouth opening and easy throw one-handed drawstring.

The pouch can be attached to any Think Tank belt or belt pack and, in addition, is outfitted with attachment loops to accommodate the optional Keep-It-Up shoulder strap. The pouch also contains Think Tank's Rotate or Lock technology that permits you to place the pouch anywhere on the optional belt to suit your shooting stance, i.e. standing, kneeling or prone. This will allow you to keep the pouch out of your way while you shoot. For ultimate protection, it also has a removable rain cover to help the outdoor shooter or even if you are just caught in bad weather. The pouch also serves to keep dust, dirt and other contaminants off your valuable optic. It's backed by Think Tank's lifetime warranty against manufacturer's defects.

I bought this because I wear my Canon 70-300L lens on a belt. I have the Think Tank Skin pouches already but they aren't padded and I felt the lens was banging around too much so I got this Lens Changer because of the padding. My Canon 70-300L fits perfectly with the lens shade attached which makes for easy lens changes and with the shade reversed on the front of the lens the lens sits low in the pouch which I like for traveling around the city because it's protected a little better than when the rear of the lens is right at the top.The pouch does also expand about three inches when you open the circumflex zipper. At the bottom of the pouch there is another zipper that reveals the rain cover which is a standard item on Think Tank products. I leave the cover in it's pocket because it makes for some good extra padding. The top of the pouch doesn't really close. There is an elastic draw string that cinches the opening and there is a flap that's attached along one of it's edges to the inside of the pouch and it at least hides the contents of the pouch from prying eyes. The draw string does close it enough so that there is no way the lens can fall out but then again the pouch is so deep that I can't see how the lens could fall out anyway. Also because the string is elastic you don't have to adjust it when you're working because it stretches allowing you access. There are also two stretch Lycra pockets on the front of the pouch and I just keep an energy bar and a few business cards in there. Each pocket is 4.25" square. So the verdict is that this Lens Changer 75 does exactly what I want it to do and of course the build quality is perfect because that's what Think Tank does. The padding although thin works really well and it gives the Lens Changer structure and integrity. Also I love being able to carry a heavy lens on my hips instead of my shoulder which for me is a really really big deal.

    Great for 70-200 and 300mm f4.0

Comments about Think Tank Photo Lens Changer 75 Pop Down V2.0 (Black):

I use this for my Nikon 70-200 F4.0 with the TC-14e III attached. I also unzip the extension bottom to use it with my Nikon 300mm f4.0 with the TC-17e II. I can swap lenses easily, which helps when birding or at air shows. I also bought the Lens Changer 25 v2, which I reviewed separately.

Note: I use this on the belt of my Speed Freak beltpack. Be careful when unbuckling the belt, as the lens cases can swing down immediately and bash into things if you are not careful.

Comments about Think Tank Photo Lens Changer 75 Pop Down V2.0 (Black):

I used this in combo with the Cotton Carrier vest, and I originally wanted to hang it off the lower strap, where the second body holster would normally go, but I found with a 70-200 this was too high to safely get the lens in and out. It works best on your regular belt. The bag is very nice in that it easily accommodates long lenses, but can be shorter with shorter lenses without being stupidly shaped for either one. It was nicely padded and protected well. One note is make sure you properly place the plastic tab under the velcro closure to go over the belt, and make sure the velcro is well seated if you are carrying a big heavy lens like a 70-200 LIS F28 or whatever, as it will pull hard.

The Lens Changer 75 is very well built, with strong seams and does not present any kind of failure. It's easy to use and have pockets to store the lens covers. The Think Tank says that pouch is for small lens, but can fit a bigger lens with no problems.

With no doubt, the Think Tank developed the best product line for daily/street photographers that work in the most adverse situations.

Well I looked and looked for a lens case that would fit my nikon 200mm F/4 macro lens with the hood in place.
#1. When nikon made the lens shade for this lens, they made it a screw on witch makes it a pain to remove it from the lens. It is also not a reverse shade so it will not store on the lens. No place too keep or store it other then on the lens itself.
#2. This is the only lens case that well fit the lens with the hood in place. The leather hard case that comes with the lens is worthless! If you place a filter on the lens it won't fit in the original supplied nikon case.
#3. I almost gave up finding a case that would fit this lens with the hood in place, until I found the think tank 75 pop down. This is the perfect lens case for this lens. I can leave the lens in this case and it is always ready for use.
#4. Also the price of this lens case is very reasonable. I could not be any more pleased .

I'm a professional sports photographer and would be lost without my Think Tank Photo modular belt and lens pouches. The 75 Pop Down V2.0 is perfect for my Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS II lens and it fits even with a 1.4X TC attached. I've also used this pouch for my 400 f/5.6L and there's plenty of room for it. Couldn't be happier with the Think Tank Photo modular system!

LC75 is very useful, especially with the extension capability which allow you to put 2 lenses in one pouch, such as 14-24 and 24-70 back to back. The material is weatherproof, and is adequate to protect gear inside from minor bumps, and allow you to have the lens at filter attached readiness.

It has a rain flap, the noose is design to draw close but not totally closed, this could either be a strength or weakness. Personally I would like to see a top flap that has velcro seal so it will totally cover the top opening but maintain easy access to gear stored within, and on occasion can prevent theft when you are too busy focusing on your photo subject.

Of course, you can put the 70-200 F2.8G or 80-400 lens in it too.

I use this with my 70-200 f2.8. I love the extra storage slots and the extension. I do wish it had a little more padding or was more rigid. It flops around on my belt a lot. It also gets caught on the lens when putting the lens in the case. Those are very minor issues. If I lost this case I would by the same one again.

Comments about Think Tank Photo Lens Changer 75 Pop Down V2.0 (Black):

This is my first Think Tank purchase, along with the pro belt, harness, a camera holster, another, shorter lens changer and a strobe pouch; about $300 all in. I bought this kit for hiking, but don't plan to use all attachments each time.

The Lens Changer 75, with its Pop Down extended, easily swallows my Canon 70-200 f2.8 zoom, with its tripod collar and a Canon 1.4x Extender attached, and with the hood attached in shooting position.

When not holding this lens, it'll probably serve as a water bottle holder (I have an insulated metal bottle that doesn't "sweat.")

I went from the boda bag to the belt modular system and I can't sing the praises enough. I thought for sure that having the 70-200mm 2.8L IS II with tripod collar attached in this bag would be too heavy/awkward but I was wrong. Using this lens holder in addition to the lens drop and lens changer 35 gave me access to all 3 of my favorite lenses all day.

I also love how this lens holder has small little side pockets which are perfect for carrying an extra battery or card.

I have two other Think Tank pouches and needed another. This one certainly met my expectations. While I am not sure I need the pop down feature, it could come in handy. I have one Lens Changer 75 pouch that I use for my Canon 7-200 f4 and am actually using this one for non photographic items that I carry.

After having used a camera backpack for years, I switched to the ThinkTank belt system. Big Improvement for me.

                                              1) My back no longer hurts due to the heavy backpack.

                                              2) I can reach my lenses easily, without having to take off my camera backback.
