Comments about Yamaha DXR 8 Bag (Black):
I thought I was getting some rather expensive fitted bags, but in fact these covers are somewhere between a hard case and a gig bag in their level of protection. In and out is very easy thanks to the wraparound zippers. You can tote the speakers on the shoulder strap or open up a compartment to get at the handles. A zippered compartment for power cords and perhaps an input cable or two is on one face.
Just got these, but they look like they will stand up to anything short of airline baggage handlers-without-care, and will keep the DXR8's looking great for a long time.
On the down side, these cases are heavy. One reason I bought the DXR8's in the first place was their light weight. They're not so light inside these cases, but still manageable -- I, a 62-year old happy gigster, can just manage on each shoulder without feeling my verterbral cartilage going into shock and collapsing.
The strap hinges look small to me. Only time will tell if they are up to the job of repeatedly bearing the weight of the speakers and cases.
