Firstly I've owned this bag for the last 2 years. LOL. I love the comments by people who really don't own the bag. But all silly comments aside I'll get straight to it. There is a reason why this bag has 5 star ratings across 3 major photo websites (B&H, Thinktank, Youtube and now Dpreview. Prior to buying mine I had did some thorough research into bags that had the ability to carry a Nikon Pro body such as D3/D3s at that time and the Nikon Holy Trinity (14-24, 24-70, 70-200, SB900 etc... ) I did find a few bags but felt they were to long and too big. When I saw the Streewalker Pro on the Thinktank website the first thing that caught my attention is that the bag does not look too big. It still looks like a back pack. The second thing that sold me on it was the depth of the bag. A video on You tube by Fotomicke confirmed the purchase for me. Although its in another language. Its a brief video that shows the configuration of his bag. I duplicated almost the exact same way. ....

I brought this bag to carry most of my equipment in one bag. These include Nikon 14-24, 24-70, 70-200, 300 mm (f4), TC1.4, and my 4x6 filters and filter adapter.

The things I like are that its well made, very comfortable, and built to last. Its also roomy. However, the bag's layout unevenly skews the padding leaving very little room on one side for things fatter than a flash or similar item. This leaves the space poorly utilized with filters, flashes, etc while leaving all the heavier lenses on the right. You can adjust the separators/padding to gain some additional room on the thin side but not a whole lot. I wish they split the space evenly on both side.

The second item I did not like is that the bag is ~1-2 inches deeper than it needs to be (probably to accommodate the more heavier laptops). This makes it appear as if one is walking with a fat suitcase on their back.

Although I'd recommend this bag, please carefully consider your use before you buy. When you spend this kind of money, you should get exactly what you want.

      Compact Back-Saver

      By Timmyweb

      from Chicago

Comments about Think Tank Photo StreetWalker HardDrive (Black/Silver/Blue):

The Streetwalker HardDrive is deceptively small backpack that carries a lot of gear. It is narrower than many other comparably-sized bags, and fits very comfortably on my back. I fit a 5dmkII with 17-35 f2.8 attached, hood reversed; a 7d w/70-200 f2-8 attached, hood reversed; a 50mm f 1.4; a 24mm f1.4, two 580 EXIIs; a roll of gaffers tape and some other doodads; all in the main compartment. The inside pockets hold cards, filters, etc. The thing I don't like a about this pack is the side outer pockets. They're narrow and long, but shallow. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to fit in there. At the moment, I have a Canon speed light battery pack in one of them. The outer front top pocket is sized nicely for biz cards, pens, etc. The zippers seem pretty heavy-duty. That's where my last pack failed; hoping I get more usage out of this one.

Comments about Think Tank Photo StreetWalker HardDrive (Black/Silver/Blue):

I am always unhappy to haul around a tripod attaching to the outside of the bag, especially when travelling. I have checked out a number of bags and finally settled on this one base on quality, proper size and comfort. This bag can fit the following: 70-200 zoom on Canon 5D, 24-70 lens, 16-35 lens, 100 F2.8 Macro, flashlight, all lens hoods, plus a Gitzo traveler tripod that folded to 14". I fit a small reflector in the laptop compartment for portrait and flower shots. A sandwich, drink and some snacks can be fit on top of the tripod as the bag is so deep....or pack a light jacket. Although the wide and well padded harness make carrying such big load less painful...there is lots of room for improvement by learning from the leading camping backpack designs. In summary, this bag is comparatively expensive but like buying a more luxurious car, you can feel the difference.

Comments about Think Tank Photo StreetWalker HardDrive (Black/Silver/Blue):

I use this product for my Canon 6D, speedlight, tripod, backup camera body, two lenses, and accessories. The bag is sweet and the tripod pouch is very handy but is also easily concealed in the bag when not in use. The laptop section is separated from the rest of the bag and is padded nicely for your workstation. The lockable zippers are also a plus; not big enough for a combo lock but work nicely with a good padlock. It is also very comfortable for long hikes and has a waist band. The only downsides (besides price) come when a tripod is attached. The tripod extends below the bottom of the bag when attached when means that the bag cannot sit flat on the ground when the tripod is attached; it has to be leaned against something or it will be laying flat on the ground. It is also difficult to keep bulky accessories in the back pouches when a full-sized tripod is attached; it would be nice if the tripod pouch was on the side and if the other side had a water bottle pouch, leaving plenty of room in the back pouches for bigger items.

Comments about Think Tank Photo StreetWalker HardDrive (Black/Silver/Blue):

I was looking for a bag to hold 2 Canon DSLR's, 3-4 lenses, including a 70-200 IS II 2.8, a Speedlite, a 15" laptop, GoPro gear and additional stuff such as filters, batteries, chargers etc. The bag needed to be compact enough and comfortable to bring onboard a plane as a carry-on.

I looked at a number of bags and finally settled on this one for a holiday I just came back from. This bag is well made and a little larger (length) than the Tenba Shootout 24L that I also looked at.

The bag is well made overall (though I would have liked a better padded waist belt and strap) and took all my gear comfortably and still had room for small personal items and miscellaneous stuff you carry around. I loaded it up with the above mentioned gear and though heavy, it was comfortable to carry around the airport and fit easily in the overhead bin and under the seat.

I really like it for the sheer capacity it can take - yet is not huge or bulky. You also have some level of flexibility in re-configuring the inner compartment by moving the velcro padded separators. It would have been nice to also have the side entry openings such as the Tenba has, but at the end of the day, you are usually going to have your cameras out so it was not a big deal. I use an Op/Tech Pro strap to carry both cameras.

I highly recommend this bag if you have a a lot of gear to lug around and don't want to have a large bulky bag to carry around.

Recently switched from a Tenba Large bag to this Think Tank StreetWalker HardDrive. Best decision I've made. Tenba bags are great, but this bag is much smaller and half the weight and yet it still somehow fits everything as the Tenba did. It is easier to carry around and also to store when not in use. Highly recommend.

I bought this one on sale a few years ago, since I seem to have Camera Knapsack Acquisition Disorder. Anyways, while I meant for it to be a bag for carrying kit when shooting from the car, I've since taken it on planes to two separate desert excursions where my "do-it-all-backcountry" F-Stop Gear bag couldn't go on the plane. While you may think this is only for urban environments, I've had it in the Mojave, Sonoran, and Chihuauan Deserts, on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean and in 5 US desert states and 4 US national parks, full of red baby-powder sand. The sand just comes off this bag somehow, and my lenses and cameras have always been perfectly coddled inside this bag, from rain, ocean, sand, deserts, drops and thuds. This bag carries a huge amount, works well to vent heat from your back, and takes a licking and keeps on ticking. This TT bag is as well built, if not better built than most, if not all bags I've seen. Buy this and know that it will go on airplanes, it will hold your glass and take being dropped (twice) from the back of an SUV, will protect in rain, in desert, in heat and cold.

I can fit inside all my gear (and I own a lot of gear) and more. Superb quality, airline friendly. Easy to wear - it doesn't feel that heavy on my back even when fully loaded. Think Tank rules!!

Comments about Think Tank Photo StreetWalker HardDrive (Black/Silver/Blue):

The main reason I purchased this backpack was the depth inside. I own the Nikon Trinity of lenses and am able to stand them up rather than have to lay them on there side. Except for the 70 - 200mm of course. This leaves much room in the bag for all kinds of extras. Is it heavy fully loaded, of coarse but that's to be expected. I have gone on a few long hikes and was not sore anywhere due to the back support and shoulder straps that are the best I have seen. The quality is outstanding. I knocked off one star because I wish the outside side storage compartments were more expandible. The bag is full of little options not seen in other bags but your also paying for it.

Okay, it's a little pricey...let's get that out of the way. It's also well made with first rate materials. Packs a ton and protects like you'd expect. I gave it 5 stars because 6 wasn't available.
