The portable and lightweight Toshiba 16GB Excite 10 LE Tablet can be your personal assistant, confidant, photographer and friend. It affords organization, entertainment and communication. It already supports the innovative and mobile-specific Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system; why not let it support you too. The Excite features a 10.1" capacitive multi-touch LCD screen with 1280 x 800 resolution and LED backlight. The 16:10 widescreen aspect ratio ensures your movies and video will be viewed as the director intended with no altering or cropping to fit the screen. Plus, the internal 1GB DDR2 RAM memory and 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4430 dual-core mobile processor keep your work flowing. The 16GB storage capacity is ideal for storing all your audio and video content, but if you need more room, the microSD card slot affords storage expansion up to 32GB.
The Excite features a plethora of connection options as well. For wireless connectivity, it's equipped with WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth V 2.1 + EDR. You can access the Internet from your home wireless network or from any WiFi hot-spot. Plus, Bluetooth connectivity affords wireless device connection for easy and convenient keyboard or mouse hook-up. Other connection options include a micro USB 2.0 port, 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack, and a micro HDMI port for viewing video content on an HDTV in uncompressed, full HD 1080p resolution. There are also front and rear cameras, as well as a docking connector port. The front webcam and integrated microphone facilitate video-chatting, while the rear camera shoots photos and video in stunning clarity with 1080p HD video capture and 5-megapixel photo capture.
The Excite is also outfitted with stereo speakers and several sensors. Besides GPS, the Excite features a gyroscope, accelerometer and ambient light sensor. Purchased a Toshiba Satellite Lap top and in 30 days the camera failed. Purchased the Excite Tablet and in 6 days it failed. B&H is GREAT in service, Toshiba was/is disappointing.

It looks good, feels comfortable and light, screen is bright. The rotations of screen stopped working (didn't have time to figure out why), speed is ok (slower than my girlfriend's I pad), tried a few times to download manual from toshiba - no results, it shows that it fails to find the file and asks to try later. I use it mostly for simple tasks, such as reading PDF files, email and movies and so far it is OK.
