The Brinno PHV133012 Digital PeepHole Viewer (12mm Barrel) includes a brightness enhancement to help you see who is at your door when it’s dark outside and a microSD card slot (supports up to 32 GB) for saving a picture of the visitor every time you turn on the peephole. It comes with a 3" LCD screen so you won't have to squint to see who is at your door or let them know that you are home (no shadow is cast when you are viewing the PHV133012 display). What’s more is that children can also view who’s at the door without having to struggle to reach the peephole. Additionally, it features a zoom option to view the visitor more carefully and takes a picture of your visitor in the zoom mode too.

The Digital PeepHole viewer comes with the option to add accessories – a knocking sensor or a motion sensor. The knocking sensor detects the vibration of someone knocking on your door and sends a signal to the peephole, which in turn takes a picture of the visitor. The pictures are saved on a microSD card, so once you reach home, you still get to see who visited you while you were out. The same goes for the optional motion sensor – you place a small motion detector outside your front door and when it senses movement, a signal is sent to the peephole to snap a picture.

Note! Knocking sensor, motion sensor, and microSD card not included.

It was pretty easy to install and configure. It's pretty simple to operate. The screen is fair and the product seems durable so far.The day views are a little washed out (in day mode) but the night mode is better than I expected with a little exterior lighting to assist. Very useful in a house with many different height individuals as they don't have to put an eye to the peephole to see. No 'new install' instructions. Biggest gripe is that it is aimed too high. I was careful in drilling the hole level but should have drilled down a little from inside to out as the viewer is aimed too high to see shorter or crouching individuals. Drilling it this way would have probably left the base of the unit sticking out from the door a bit though.

Design looks ok apart of unit being too big to my taste. Installation is simple but viewing
range / angle is awful. Color in the evening does not exist, all looks monochromatic.
I was expecting more like fish eye but what I have is half ceiling half of the entrance porch. I cannot see at all the first step on my porch which is 9 feet away from the door. Perhaps I did something here that
is wrongly but if not, it is not good to me at all.
Something is wrong with the viewing angle. I suppose it has to do with how thick is the door but mine is 1 3/4", so nothing extra wide.
If I have to buy this again I would skip it and perhaps I may sell this one and go to regular, ordinary peep hole, since door was drilled already.
If any one has any siggestion, I would be happy to know.

Comments about Brinno PHV133012 Digital PeepHole Viewer (12mm Peephole Barrel):

The height difference between my wife and I posed a problem for installing a door peephole. But with this item , and the 3 inch screen made the viewing ,very easy for both of us.

Comments about Brinno PHV133012 Digital PeepHole Viewer (12mm Peephole Barrel):

This product was super easy to install with well written instructions. I had been thinking about buying this or similar for some time. Installation took maybe 5 mins tops. Once installed I was a little less jazzed on the device after seeing the images. The advertisement images aren't exactly what I see when using the device. There is a bit of a fish eye effect and they aren't super clear. It's as if you are looking through your normal peep hole. Now with that said, the person outside can't see through the hole so you do have the added security. I haven't added the knock sensor or the SD card to capture, so I can't speak for that. The low light sensor helps a little at night, but still the images are in no way close to what they show in the ad. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, but expectations where higher.

Comments about Brinno PHV133012 Digital PeepHole Viewer (12mm Peephole Barrel):

The Brinno digital peephole viewer is awesome. It installed in minutes and works beautifully. Our porch tends to be dark, so I was worried about the ability to actually see who was outside, but there was no problem at all! We use it with the Brinno motion sensor and can know see who has been to our home, even when we aren't there! I highly recommend this product.

This is a great way for me to see who's knocking on my door, as I'm disabled and always like to know who I'm opening my door to. It records when the motion sensor is activated.
If there are children or shorter people, sometimes you can't see them on the viewer.
