The black CS-SLIM2 Slim Camera Strap from Carry Speed replaces the older CS-SLIM version with the difference being the way it attaches to the camera. The improvement prevents the strap from scratching your camera. It connects using Carry Speed's Speed Mount that contains an improved ball mount that won't damage your camera.
Once connected, the strap is used cross shoulder. The shoulder portion is neoprene and helps reduce neck strain. The neoprene also reduces shock and bounce while you're walking. When you're not shooting, your camera hangs conveniently by your hip at the strap's preselected length. It's also adjustable so that the camera stops its slide up the strap exactly where you want it. This leaves you ready to shoot at a moment's notice without worrying about getting the camera up to your eye.

This review relates to their recent model which has a 'Ball Head Nut' which slips into a cup-like socket which in turn screws down over the ball to make a connection which swivels and is very secure. I say secure, and it would be if the head of the Ball Head Nut is machine & finished properly.
Make sure you purchase this item direct from B&H as you will have some sort of redress it the parts are faulty. Do NOT buy direct from the manufacturer as I did.

Great design that eliminates belly-flop or the 'tall reach' if carrying a camera cross shoulder. Reach down to your side, raise camera to shoot. Simple and efficient. The addition of a QR plate is very nice.
Only negative: it should come with a small rod or Allen wrench that could be hooked onto a key ring for use in attaching and removing strap when desired.
