I guess I didn't do my homework. I have an older version Sunpak flash for Nikon with an auto zoom. I purchased this one as a gift for my daughter, assuming since it was newer, it would maintain and improve upon earlier features. But when I unpacked it I found that the zoom is literally a mechanical slide that physically moves the flash. Very klunky.

Comments about Sunpak DF3000N Digital Flash for Nikon:

Using this flash on A Nikon D3200. I've had it about a week. Could have spent more. But this flash seems to do the job well for everyday flash situations. And, I would recommend this unit to others.

The test button is a little flimsy. It recharges quickly between shots. Decent coverage.

I picked up my DF3000N at [@] for under $[$]to use with my Nikon D3200. It has met my need for an add on flash in every way. It has the options of Nikon flashes that cost hundreds of dollars more. Consider using a minimum of a 200 ISO.

Comments about Sunpak DF3000N Digital Flash for Nikon:

This is a very good flash at a fraction of what a similar Nikon flash costs. It's not as powerful as an SB-700, but it is powerful enough for most amateurs. It tilts and swivels so you can bounce for both horizontal and vertical photos. It's bigger than an SB-400 but it's not heavy and the SB-400 doesn't swivel for vertical photos.

Comments about Sunpak DF3000N Digital Flash for Nikon:

I don't need a flash very often, but when I do, I want something stronger than the built-in flash on my Nikon. I just don't want to invest a lot of money in equipment I'll use only once in a while.

The Sunpak DF3000N is a good fit. It's fast, reliable, plenty strong... and has the basic features I'm looking for.

With an inexpensive softbox cover, It gives me the little bit of extra light
I sometimes need shooting outdoors. And it does it at a very attractive price.

It's not fancy pro lighting... but for my needs, it's perfect.

Have not used it much yet, seems to give decent photos. If it does what it is supposed to do I will enjoy it.
Very cheaply built, the battery cover is very flimsy, probably will not last to long.
