This is a 100' roll of 35mm Retro 80s 120 Black and White Negative Film from Rollei. It is a high contrast, fine grain film that is excellent for portraiture. For fine art, it will produce very sharp, high-quality images with deep blacks. The nature of this film also lends itself to outdoor shooting since its red sensitivity tends to darken skies without the use of additional filters. This characteristic will also help cover up minor skin imperfections when shooting portraits. Its coated synthetic base gives it long-term stability.

Note! Maco is the actual owner and manufacturer of this film. They purchased the Rollei and Agfa names and formulas. This item may be sold under different names but it is the same film

Comments about Rollei/AGFA 35mm Retro 80s Black and White Negative Film (100' Roll):

Rollei/Agfa Retro 80 is an aerographic film with extended IR sensitivity. This is what I like for the landscape photography. Moderate red filter, like B+W 090 (not as deep as for IR photography), or a yellow one, should provide lighter greens and darker skys.
I shoot just one roll and developed, as recommended by Rollei in ADOX developer 1:31 for 8' at 20C.
The film appeared high contrast to the eye, however scanned pictures on the monitor appear perfect. The as-scanned, (not manipulated) example is shown here. I did not make any paper copies yet.
The film is flat, does not curl, but I do not like the plastic square package, think the standard. round, metal boxes are better.
