The Manfrotto MK294A4-D3RC2 4-Section Aluminum Tripod With 3-Way Head is the larger tripod in the 290 family. It provides compact dimensions, precision, and solid support for a DSLR or other camera. It has a 3-way pan-and-tilt head, aluminum leg tubes and top casting, plus an anti-shock collar that protects your camera from any accidental impact.
The maximum height of the 4-section tripod is 5.34'; it can function all the way down to 17.32", and it folds down to 23.23" for transport and storage. The MK294A4-D3RC2 tripod supports loads up to 8.82 lb.

The tripod is very sturdy and well made. It's also on the lightweight side that I can attach it to my backpack and carry it around without it weighing me down. Pretty happy with my purchase and look forward to using it in the long run.

This tripod is quite small when fully collapsed but gets pretty big. I have a larger Bogen and bought this for my office. I love it. It's small, sturdy and just works well... I'd steal it from my office but it's probably not worth getting fired so I'll probably pick one up for myself.
I like the small size as I can throw it on my scooter and go.
