Creative Suite 6 even includes a color-grading program, SpeedGrade CS6, which was used on several Hollywood films when it was a standalone program from Iridas. (Adobe has since acquired Iridas technology.) SpeedGrade leverages your system's GPU to open the full dynamic range of your footage, and it works with RAW, HDR, and stereoscopic content.
For CS6, all the major programs get a significant update, with faster performance and expanded functions. Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 expands its multicam capabilities, adds tools (Warp Stabilizer and Rolling Shutter Repair effects), accelerates and fortifies its 64-bit Mercury playback engine, and introduces productive little touches such as expanded trimming options and the ability to edit without stopping playback. Adobe CS6 is the best thing yet from them with each program feeling like a genuine step up from CS5 rather than a cheap add-on. I'm an indie filmmaker and music producer so each of the programs serve a vital purpose. Premiere Pro is less buggy and responds a lot faster than the previous installment but still doesn't take away from the original experience that Adobe created. PhotoShop and After Effects are still top notch programs that run smoothly and responsively on Mac. My favorite new feature is SpeedGrade - a program dedicated to color correction. This, so far, has been my favorite program to run since I've gotten the bundle a couple of weeks ago. What makes SpeedGrade so great is its ease of use on a portable laptop. 2k and 4k resolutions/file types can be easily manipulated on a laptop and with the mousepad. The ingenuity behind the program's design is top notch and is going to be a favorite for hobbyists and professionals alike. SpeedGrade turns your mousepad into a color correction console with ease and mimics each function very well without feeling generic and out of touch. It's a great addition (especially for students like me) that might not be able to have access or funds for a color correction console. Since this is a Student Edition, be prepared to have documentation ready to confirm that you are a current student in order to fully use Adobe CS6 Master Collection. The only thing that was a draw back, was the first week that I had it. Premiere Pro and After Effects were pretty buggy and Premiere Pro had a habit of crashing my system, causing it to freeze unless I forced my Mac off. But Adobe has recognized this and there have been several updates to the system that have completely ridded the programs of this problem. In conclusion, if you are a jack of all trades, CS6 Master Collection is the way to go of course. You'll have all of the tools you need to stay ahead of the class and on par with the industry.
