International Orders*Complete with an FM tuner, the Sony 32GB Z Series Mobile Media Player offers the affordability of an MP3 player with the features of a tablet or smartphone. The Z Series is Bluetooth-enabled, so you can link to other enabled devices like car stereos and home theaters to share music over a speaker system, or link to your computer to listen wirelessly to your music library. Plus, the player features Sony's integrated Media Go application, which allows you to transfer music, videos, playlists and photos to the device with a simple drag and drop function from Windows.
This model is endowed with 32GB of flash storage, so you'll have sufficient room to transfer tons of audio, video and photo files. You can even use Bluetooth technology to wirelessly transfer photos taken on a Bluetooth phone and view them using the device's photo playback feature. The 32GB storage capacity can be filled with voice recordings as well. The Z Series Mobile Media Player has an integrated mic, which can be used to record conversations, lectures and meetings; after a recording is finished, you can save it onto the device's internal flash memory. Sony even created SensMe, which lets you organize your music into different moods. Plus, for added control over the player's sound, the Z Series is even equipped with a five-band equalizer that includes Heavy, Pop, Jazz, Unique, Custom 1 and Custom 2 settings.

A great device. A large screen makes working on e-mail and watching YouTube videos a reality. The audio sound is fantastic whether using earplugs or connecting via Bluetooth to your stereo etc. The only let-down is the music unlimited service that you can subscribe to. If it had the same build quality as the device then it would be a great service. But constant crashes on the Walkman, network dropouts, unresponsive system, diabolical performance as well as just plain frustrating errors (such as songs on the playlist just not playing) and no way to escalate these issues let Sony down and don’t meet my expectations as a Sony customer. So buy a Walkman they are very good. But hold off the Sony Music Unlimited Service as it is just not ready for prime time.

Comments about Sony 32GB Z Series Mobile Media Player:
This is a nice device, but I have read many reviews about sound quality issues with this device. I was wondering why my Z sounded so bad too. The graphic equalizer just didnt seem to work at all and sounded muddy and flat. SO, I went into the eq settings and turned them off, then back on again, and VOILA!! That seemed to fix it. But Sony should do a firmware update because I think they are losing customers because of this sound issue with this walkman. How about a Flac support update, please? Also they are 100 dollars cheaper now too.

If you must take photos and shoot videos with a music device, then go buy an Ipod. They care more about that than the sound of the music too. If you want the best sound quality in a pmp at a price point that isn't close to 1,000 dollars , this is the device you want. Nothing else is close. Most negative reviews still point out the sound is great. That should tell you something, as Sony's focus was to make this a great audio device. It says when it boots up "For music lovers, by music lovers". They weren't lying. Full disclosure, I own a pair of Klipsch Image One headphones. So I don't use the included buds. This player is only as good as the headphones you plug in, so please bare that in mind when evaluating the sound quality. People laugh when I tell them it isn't a phone, but when they hear it, they understand why I bought it.
Comments about Sony 32GB Z Series Mobile Media Player:
The sound quality on this Walkman Z is second to none for its price range and is highly regarded as such by the head-fi.org community. Upon receiving my unit, I compared it to the ipod touch and a Samsung Nexus S2 and it quickly became apparent that the built-in amp was doing something right. It's a shame that there's no native flac file support, but workarounds are out there. The android interface was generally smooth and installing programs on it was a breeze. Web browsing and video playback was jitter-free for the most part. Apps may crash every now and then but that's to be expected for an android device. Now a few important pointers about the battery usage: Battery life is absolutely terrible unless you set it on "airplane mode." If you don't turn on "airplane mode," it will quickly drain the battery even if you turn it off (to standby). The screen sucks up a ton of power, even on the lowest brightness. Thinking about web browsing? expect 4-5 hours tops. Playing music with the screen off? That's where you'll get 20 hours. You can control the volume of the music being played without turning on the screen, so make use of it. Turn the screen back on to navigate your songs and edit/create a playlist, then turn it back off and you'll be fine with battery life. GPS reception is terrible on the Walkman Z. It takes forever to obtain a signal and reception is spotty thereafter (when compared to a smartphone). Not a big con if you aren't GPS dependent. Physically, this device is considered to be a bit too big to be a portable music player but too small to be a tablet. It will barely fit into the pockets of your pants or jacket. Keeping it in your hands is the best, if not, only option. This is all the more harder due to the lack of accessories in the US. You'll probably have to import them as they are available in overseas markets. So all in all, 4 stars for what you get in the box. 5 stars if you do some work to extend battery life and get flac playback going.

I just order this player, I tried it out for 5 mins and the major draw backs on this device is sound/audio quality sucks, thank god I kept my old 32GB nwz-1061. The bass on android walkman, poor. The sound effects, and all that are not great. I'm shipping the player back next week. Sony stick with your software not android.
Comments about Sony 32GB Z Series Mobile Media Player:
You may read other reviews from other sites with negative stuff to say on this Portable Music Player and it's contradictions to its features; BUT I say "try it" and you decide. Go to a SonyStore and demo it yourself. For Me?! I am very satisfied with this well built Walkman. The main thing that I like "THE SOUND THAT ARE COMING FROM THIS WALKMAN IS BAR NONE THE BEST AND MOST AWESOME THAN ANY OTHER PMP OUT THERE (yes! even the one with that fruity company a). The Nvidia Tegra 2 chip in this gadget was well used as you will see when you play your games. Gave it a "5" Star because it was stellar on what was the gadget was intended to be used; THE SOUND AND THE EASE OF ADDING MUSIC. Battery Life was surprisingly great as it lasted me the whole day playing music (bluetooth off and no videos played). Almost gave it a "4" star because of the ff: No camera (which its ok since I have my Android phone, Mediocre screen but descent and well lit and; for some reason; I keep accidentally pushing the "Walkman" button. Highly Recommend it ..if..you only want an amazing pmp that sounds excellent (which for me is what I want) Not Recommended .. If you need a camera and vivid screen.
Comments about Sony 32GB Z Series Mobile Media Player:
With more players hitting store shelves coming close to the ultimate one device, Sony didn't even try to be a part of this race. Instead Sony just made basic features more attractive. Without Wi-Fi Internet, 12MP Camera w/Xenon Flash, Multi-Gesture Touchscreen, Full HD Video Recording, Accelerometers, without these its way behind the competition.
Comments about Sony 32GB Z Series Mobile Media Player:
I have the X series player as well and this new Z series player is all that i look for in a quality media player, not just the hype and popularity of something like the overrated ipod. Sony hardly ever fails. i Recommend this player to anyone who can appreciate quality in sound! Proud Owner of Sony products!
