      I'm an IT Director and a gamer. So when I purchased PNY's GTX 680, I knew what I wanted. I needed the graphics capabilities of business based apps and I wanted the raw power that's needed for today's games. I also didn't want to upgrade a lot of my hardware to get the performance I wanted. Don't get me wrong, there are better cards out there. But this card hits a truly sweet spot for those that aren't bleeding edge adopters. I'm not willing to spend 600, 700 or even 1,000 bucks on a card. That's just insanity. Today's comfort zone is $ 200 - $ 300 for a good high end video card. And that's what I was shooting for. So why did I spend that little bit extra for this card ... here's why. I bought my son an upgrade for xmas of 2012. He went from the GTX 480 to a GTX 660TI. The change was amazing and the depth and detail on his games jumped several notches. If you've ever seen Skyrim on an older 480 and then looked at improved details on the new keplar architecture, its stunning. Reflective surfaces improved, background components that weren't there before, things just pop and this isn't just eye candy for the gamer. The game itself ran smoother, faster and system performance was amazing. So why the GTX 680 you ask. Why not just copy my son's experience. Well that's where the IT side of me kicked in. The GTX 660TI is about $ [$]. The power consumption is about 225W. ( cards vary I know .. so stick with me here ). And he's running the output in 1920x1080. So running games like Batman, TeamFortress II, COD Black Ops, etc are all good, really good. But when Cyrsis III hits later this year, what are his options for the 660TI. Well, he can really push things by going SLI. And that's where it hits me !!!Jump to a 660TI today and it's about $ [$] to $[$]. Jump to SLI and it's $ 500 - 600 for both, plus a nice $ 100 hit on your power supply upgrade, just to make sure your supporting that SLI habit. And did I mention that two video cards can be a bit noisy. ( don't want that while I'm doing Skype calls or corporate VOIP on my PC ). Your investment in the future is nearly $ 700. If not today, then next year. So I went with the GTX 680. No power supply ugrade. No increased noise. Better performance than the GTX 660TI. And I have the peace of mind that spending $ [$]+ today, brings me to a level where AutoCad, Solidworks, MSOffice, Call of Duty and Cyrsis all fit into the same machine. PS : Here's whats running at home right now. Yes.. he upgraded. My son Mike - 2x GTX 660TI, M5A99FX MB ASUS, Phenom II X6 Black, 8Gb Ram, PS 750W Win7Dad's rig - 1x GTX 680, M5A99FX MB ASUS, FX-8350, 16Gb Ram, PS 650w Win7

        This card is Hot! It out perform's all other video cards I have owned in the past. Main use is for streaming videos, I do play some sports and hunting games and the graphics were superior! Very happy with this card. Easy to install and up and running in ten mintues! No driver install problems at all. You will not be dissapointed with this card one bit!               Had black screens, white screen, a red screen and frequent hangs of the mouse and screen content when using this in a ASUS 2011 mobo. Am working on updating BIOS to see if that solves the problem.
