Comments about RF-Link 2.4 GHz Wireless Digital Video Sender:

I bought the RF-Link wireless digital video sender to use as part of my church's three-camera video system. The third camera is tripod-mounted in the back of the sanctuary by the sound booth. I wanted to place the camera in the balcony for a better view, and to transmit the video to a
DVD recorder below. I tested the sender at home, and discovered the picture was not quite as good as with a wired connection. What really made the unit unacceptable was the jerky-looking video. Motion was not smooth. It uses 30 frames per second, so I don't know why movement is not smoother looking. The unit was probably intended for security cameras where smooth motion is not so important. The transmitter and receiver were very well made. The cases are heavy steel construction instead of the usual plastic. Also, heavy duty BNC connectors are used instead of the RCA type. In my opinion, the sender is fine for a security camera, but not for video production. I had to return the units for a refund.

Comments about RF-Link 2.4 GHz Wireless Digital Video Sender:

I use the 2.4 ghz transmission system to send CCTV broadcasts from our garage to the DVR about 300 feet in another building
Signals must pass through 3 wood and plaster walls
I installed the 2.4 ghz devices after finding that the 5 ghz devices would not cover the desired distance
System has one quirk. When the camera switches between day/night modes, the transmission freezes on the last image. Rebooting the receiver restores normal operation. This freezng occurs approximately 15% of the time. I have two of the same transmission systems and both have the same problem
