I'm rating 4 stars because I have not had the lamp in service. It is a back-up/replacement lamp. The spec'd modeling lamp for my monolights is about $10. higher. Seemed steep to me so with a little search on B&H this showed up and looks to be a good replacment at great savings.

B&H sent this as a replacement for a model lamp that didn't work when I received my Bowens 500R Strobe Kit! I actually feel this is a better lamp than the one that came with it. Same watts, volts, everything!

Now, being a DJ, I know a little bit about professional DJ lighting, but not much about the photography world. This is the 1st light I've ever used with a used Photoflex 650 starflash; didn't come with a model light. But I'm more then happy with it! I would give it a 5, but since it's my 1st experience I'll give it 4 stars. Enjoy!
