Comments about ikan Universal Grip Bar:

This handle bar is lightweight and inexpensive, but still very well made, and is very useful for me. I can rig it under a small camcorder for smoother shots, and sometimes use it to hold a small LED light. Works great.

          Worth the money

          By Sawyer

Comments about ikan Universal Grip Bar:

Pretty decent little handles... I bought two of these to use on my basic video rig with some 90 degree 15mm 1/4-20 clamps. Planning to only use them temporarily, I was expecting cheaper build (since they are advertised as accessory handles). Definitely not top notch, but I will probably use them longer than I expected. My only complaint, is the foam comes off pretty easily, but could easily be glued in place. In my case, that actually works out better because the rods fit in a 15mm clamp and may be useful later on. I would definitely recommend these guys, esp for the price.

Comments about ikan Universal Grip Bar:

I love this thing! I walked all through many hiking trails using this grip on my rather heavy CANON EOS M camera with the 18-55mm zoom lens and the video was smooth looking. I also could hold it over my head and rotate using two hands to avoid seeing people in my shots. For taking self-portraits with my wife it was very ergonomic to hold the grip, and looked less obvious than holding the camera body. The grip absorbs moisture well since I have sweaty hands. The bottom is also threaded to allow a light or the included sturdy clip ring. I still need to get a heavy duty belt clip to hang it off of but the grip wins on all aspects of performance.

Comments about ikan Universal Grip Bar:

I have a Nikon D800, which is a little on the heavy side. This is true whether I'm shooting still photos or creating a video. With respect to the latter activity, however, the grip bar is worth its weight in gold. It helps me to stabilize the camera, with little or no effort on my part, and to focus my attention on the subject that I'm filming.

Comments about ikan Universal Grip Bar:

This grip is nice but in my opinion overpriced. But it would seem most 15mm rig accessories are so maybe it's just me. I just wish they could find a cheaper way to make a small aluminum rod with a hole in it.

Comments about ikan Universal Grip Bar:

I bought this handle to use in a somewhat nonconventional manner. I needed an inexpensive, rear positioned "third leg" for a shoulder rig (in addition to the two front handles) that would alleviate weight on the shoulder pad when the rig was set down. It also keeps the pad from getting dirty when the rig has to be set on the floor or ground. I use the 1/4" 20 screw to attach it to a 15mm rail block at the back of the rig and it helps support about 20 lb. worth of camera and accessories with no problem. It's strong and the added weight is negligible. I may even use it as a handle one day.
