International Orders*This Universal Grip Bar from ikan is a standard component that's necessary for many ikan camera support rigs. The bar is 5.06" long and covered with foam for a comfortable grip. It's threaded on both ends with a 1/4"-20 threaded socket. The included D-ring can be used to mount the grip directly to ikan Elements components. The 1/4"-20 threaded stud can also mount any device with 1/4"-20 socket such as a camera, a light, a monitor, etc. You can also transform this grip into a remote pistol-grip for your shock-mounted microphone by adding a 3/8"-16 bushing (not included) or use the ikan Elements Cold Shoe Adapter (not included) for microphones with an integrated shoe mount.

Comments about ikan Universal Grip Bar:
This grip is nice but in my opinion overpriced. But it would seem most 15mm rig accessories are so maybe it's just me. I just wish they could find a cheaper way to make a small aluminum rod with a hole in it.

Comments about ikan Universal Grip Bar:
I bought this handle to use in a somewhat nonconventional manner. I needed an inexpensive, rear positioned "third leg" for a shoulder rig (in addition to the two front handles) that would alleviate weight on the shoulder pad when the rig was set down. It also keeps the pad from getting dirty when the rig has to be set on the floor or ground. I use the 1/4" 20 screw to attach it to a 15mm rail block at the back of the rig and it helps support about 20 lb. worth of camera and accessories with no problem. It's strong and the added weight is negligible. I may even use it as a handle one day.
