Overview
  • 1Description

Vienna Symphonic Library's MIR PRO 24 is much more than just "a multi-sample" of a hall. It's a multi-source, multi-directional, multi-positional, and multi-format convolution reverb. It combines specific directional frequency profiles with individual reflectional information from every instrument. All of this acoustic information assembles and interacts as an accurate spatial recreation of the orchestra. The user, in turn, interacts with the players more like a conductor than an engineer.

The directivity characteristics of each instrument are applied before the convolution of impulses, creating an accurate representation of how the hall would react to the sound of each player. The resulting reflections unify the orchestra into a faithfully depicted space that responds to the specific ensemble onstage.

MIR PRO 24's multi-parameter Control Icon replaces faders and pan pots, offering clear positioning for each instrument. Volume, stereo width, and three-dimensional positioning can also be manipulated.

A network-capable mixing solution, MIR PRO 24 has a maximum of 24 input channels. Signal can be outputted in stereo, or various surround formats up to 8 channels. Direct connection with Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 allows for integration with any audio production environment.

Advanced multi-sample convolution reverb
MIR PRO 24 includes 11,000 impulse responses from the four halls in the Vienna Konzerthaus, plus its grand foyer.
Understand the space
