Monitor is hooked to a HP dv5 entertainment laptop via hdmi cable purchased with monitor. Excellent in all respects, including good enough for photo editing with Photoshop. No cons with the monitor, but I should mention that the CD shipped with it would not install. I downloaded a different version for Win7 at the Samsung site and it worked fine, installing "Magic Tune", which enables control and adjustment via the computer. Excellent software.
An additional comment: I purchased the additional 2 year warranty, but was to learn later that it did not add on to the Samsung warranty, but begins on the date of purchase. So you only get 2 years total coverage. This is not disclosed on the warranty sellers opening page on their website, but only in the fine print.

I use this monitor in between my M-Audio BX5a speakers at my small control desk for Pro Tools.
It fits well. I needed a small monitor with HDMI to connect to my new Mac Mini.
I can't tell if it's the latest picture technology compared to others online. The edges of fonts sometimes seem like they are a little fuzzy. I watched a movie through the Mac DVD player, and THAT ROCKED.
It is light years ahead of the Sony monitor I bought five years ago for my G5.
It has interesting settings they call Magic Angle. I can choose presets that allow for standing up, sitting back, or a wide angle for others around me.
