The Full HD 1920 x 1080 native resolution is supported by a nVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M with 2GB of dedicated memory.
The system is powered by a quad-core 2.3GHz Intel Core i7-3610QM processor. It also comes with 12GB of DDR3 RAM, 1.5TB of hard drive storage, a Blu-ray player with DVD burning capabilities, 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, an integrated 2-megapixel webcam and microphone. This unit functions as a home, desktop replacement-upgrade with gaming secondary...I wanted speed and the Win 7 Op System boots up in a flash and maybe the add-on SDD system drive help there too.The HD screen is Brilliant! Coloration on the cool side compared to my 27" NEC monitor. Being able to run two independent screens is cool!Love the keyboard touch and back light HDMI out is a plus and I utilize the audio portion off my monitor in place of using the vulnerable phone jack on the notebook...And the HDMI has been great feeding my LCD TV too. It comes with its' own gaming mouse and a rugged carrying case. If you want something light and easy to carry around..look elsewhere...this baby has the look and feel of a classy battleship! In summary, it has been a great performer for me, over nearly six months!

I wanted a do anything (and faster)desktop replacement and this rugged package exceeds my expectations. Checkout the G75VW-DS71 features closely and see for yourself. This is not a tuck under your arm and carry on the bus machine and I didn't buy it with that in mind...it's big, heavy, and rugged but does come with it's own substantial carry bag as well as a gaming mouse!

Very good laptop for Photoshop, Blu-ray movies, and of course, gaming. Does not overheat during long periods of usage. Very bright keyboard, which is perfect in the dark. Battery lasts for at least 3 1/2 hours, which is impressive for a laptop this big and powerful. Plays any game maxed out, no lag at all. It did come with a huge backpack and a sick-looking mouse. It fits perfectly in the backpack. I have no complains, honestly, I just have to say, buy it!

I bought this laptop for multimedia editing and playing games. It has great specs for the price. The biggest negative is that this laptop is extremely heavy, including the power plug which is literally the size of a brick. Have been enjoying the large screen and processing speed. Decent battery life ~3hrs in a lower brightness setting

Comments about ASUS Republic of Gamers G75VW-DS71 17.3" Notebook Computer (Matte Black):
I love this laptop so much! The exterior design is beautiful, I was afraid it would look like a tacky gamer laptop, but it's not! I use this for photo editing as well as video editing. Using adobe premiere it edits huge HD video files very smoothly. It's perfect if you need to travel and edit video. It's a portable desktop replacement. The matte screen is perfect for image editing, I couldn't image doing that on a glossy screen! It doesn't overheat when I use it for long periods of time. It runs quietly. The only downsides are the audio quality (the subwoofer is under the laptop, a horrible place to put it, the sound bounces off my desk and sounds bad.) and the track pad is difficult to use, it's not very sensitive, but at least this laptop comes with a great mouse. Would buy this over and over again. I love it and I love using it. Was purchased to replace a dead on arrival MSI laptop (from another vendor which cost only $ less), but exceeds the other brand incredibly in quality.

Comments about ASUS Republic of Gamers G75VW-DS71 17.3" Notebook Computer (Matte Black):
I bought the Asus G75 a month ago and it has performed flawlessly. It's the second Asus gamer laptop I've purchased in three years. Mainly, I use the G75 for running multiple graphics applications. Occasionally I use it for gaming and it can handle everything I throw at it. One of the design elements that is impressive to me is the way Asus has ventilated the case to minimize heat build-up. With my previous laptop, I had to use a cooling fan beneath it. The G75 efficiently ports the heat through large vents in the back so that you don't feel the unit getting warm, even when doing intensive, heat generating tasks. The G75 isn't the type of laptop that you'll want to lug around with you for long. It's fairly heavy. It comes with a backpack-style case if you want to carry it. The 17.3-inch anti-glare matte screen is impressive and incredibly sharp. Having a large, sharp screen far outweighs the need for lightweight portability, in my opinion. Another detail that I really like is the keyboard. The keyboard feels perfectly comfortable and responsive, and the back-lighting of the keys is great in a darkened room. You can dim, or turn off the back-lit keys also. Overall, this machine is impressive, from it's sleek lines and crisp display, to it's speed with intensive processing. Asus makes a great laptop and delivers a balance of performance, reliability and value for the price-point. I would definitely buy this product again and I highly recommend it.

Excellent for both gamming and working. It's powerfull configs make anything run smoothly on it, and the size of the screen makes it confortable for editing documents and making designs when at work hours. It's heavy though. So it's better if you don't have to move it arround too often.

I use this product mostly for gaming, but it is also my main computer, so I use it for a wide variety of things.
Downsides: Hard to keep back clean, though not an issue to me, it is also very large, and was loaded with unneeded software that is best to uninstall.
Upsides: able to run crysis at full quality (chugs a little at the top anti aliasing, but still very playable, and if you leave it there for a bit, the lag goes away.) Very powerful, sturdy machine. Great for people who never want to have a game that can't run on the computer.
It does need to "warm up" occasionally, odd thing is, not with games like crysis, it often needs the warm up time on Minecraft if I am using a nice texture pack. I think this MAY be my fault though, as I think I may have installed optifine wrong.
