I have a Sony alarm clock and the display is not dimmable. This thing lights the whole room; not acceptible for an alarm clock.
I found these things with Google search and was pleased to see that B and H offered them. I applied these to the alarm clock display and voila, my alarm clock display no longer keeps me awake.
Two little gripes though. 1. These are essentially one time use items. If you take them off of something they get mangled and you really cant reinstall them. 2. This model may be a little bit TOO dark because the alarm clock is now difficult to see in a lighted room.

I ordered these wondering exactly how much light they would cut thinking I may have to double up, or find different versions. However, I put the first one on and wow, perfect. No longer illuminates the room while dark, but you can still see the status light. Perfect!

I like to watch movies/tv in the dark with some backlighting but do not like all the power lights and it also helps to dim display screens, I also have a 2 channel system in the bedroom and I can not stand the standby lights at night and this makes a big dif. I gave it 4 stars I only wish they would stick alittle better,but not a big deal
