This is a two pack of 36 exposure Digibase CR200 PRO 35mm Color Slide Film from Rollei. This film can serve two purposes. First, as a standard medium speed color reversal (slide) film. Second, it can be cross processed to achieve dynamic special effects. The film is characterized by a high color saturation and color balance. It's sharp and displays a fine grain. For long exposures, it demonstrates excellent reciprocity characteristics. The film is also archivally stable.

Note! This film is spooled by the manufacturer in non-DX coded cartridges; Maco is the actual owner and manufacturer of this film. They purchased the Rollei and Agfa names and formulas. This item may be sold under different names but it is the same film

Comments about Rollei/AGFA Digibase CR200 PRO 35mm Color Slide Film (36 Exposure, 2 Pack):

This film renders skin tones quite well! It's a true 200 ISO film. Thankfully, I loaded this in the dark and therefore didn't have the problems with fogging that others did. This is a very good alternative to the now-extinct Provia 400X.

Comments about Rollei/AGFA Digibase CR200 PRO 35mm Color Slide Film (36 Exposure, 2 Pack):

I have only ever shot 3 x 120 rolls of this film and all before reading Andrew's comments on 6/4/2012 below. I loaded all three films in daylight and can't say I stored the exposed rolls in their provided dark containers but I did develop all three within a week of exposure. I was extremely happy with the results.

Two of the films were loaded into a 6 x 9 Linhof film back. I exposed the 8 shot linhof back film with M3 flashbulbs at 4 feet distance at 1/100 sec / F16 and was completely happy. The skin color was spot on. Tell you the truth I didn't even notice the grain, as a Fuji 400x lover, I though this film would easily keep me happy. The remaiming roll was shot in a Zeiss Super Ikonta 531A in daylight for a 6 x 4.5 slide. Not as colour saturated as Fuji but true color fideliry. No problems.

I am glad this medium fast film is available. I'll keep shooting film as long as I can get the E6 developer kits mailed to me.

Comments about Rollei/AGFA Digibase CR200 PRO 35mm Color Slide Film (36 Exposure, 2 Pack):

It's good to see another slide film around, with an additional stop of spped to boot! This film has nice tones and seems to render colors accurately; I didn't have the yellow color cast issues that have plagued some lots of this film. It also provides a "retro" look in terms of saturation and grain. The grain is definitely more coarse than that of Provia 400X. As another reviwer stated this can be good or bad depending on your taste. I prefer finer grain, bit I am certainly happy this film is available.

Comments about Rollei/AGFA Digibase CR200 PRO 35mm Color Slide Film (36 Exposure, 2 Pack):

Nice film with warm, slightly yellowish colors. Works well for portraits and landscapes (pleasant skin tones and very rich green), though color reproduction is by no means accurate. Seems to be the same as Agfachrome RSX II 200 or very similar.
This film has absolutely transparent base like old Kodak HIE, and unlike most other films - so if you expose the tail of this film to light, film's base will work like optical fiber and expose/fog the whole roll. Hence it should be loaded in the dark, especially 120 size film.
Grain is not very fine, to put it mildly. In fact, this film is slightly more grainy than Provia 400X, which is a good/bad news depending on your taste and tasks.
Overall it is a good alternative to Fuji, soon to be the only alternative as Kodak discontinued all slide film production.
