I purchased this product as a gift. The person that received it is extremely happy with this camera. It does need a few more lenses to be complete for what they want it for, but I thought this was a nice package to get started with. They photograph reptiles and needed the MP to be a pretty high resolution. Overall the end results seem to be very satisfying. It has done its job very well and with a little more practice the pictures will turn out perfectly. The ease of use is also pretty clear for a newcomer into the DSLR world.

I also have a Canon Rebel SLR camera(which I love also) that is comparable to the Nikon D3200 and I have found that I like the D3200 better because of the clarity of the pictures taken. Very easy to us. Almost intuitive. Buttons all seem to be it the right place. Perhaps the only negative (and not really on) is that the camera does SO much. I doubt I'll ever use it to full capability. The ease of a point and shoot with the sophisication of a very expenseive DSLR.

I was always frustrated by the limited control I had with the standard point-and-shoot. Since I love traveling but also enjoy exploring my home town with a camera, the D3200 became my constant companion. After getting used to the many functions (many as in comparison to point-and-shoot) I believe the camera is perfect for beginners or hobby photographers. The display is large and easy to understand. Live view works very well. Many standard functions (flash on/off, etc.) are easy and fast to manipulate. Overall a great camera for a good price!

Light, easy to use with one hand.I work with local bands and we set up in some very old building with exposed beams. With the hand grip strap there isn't the fear of dropping the D3200 along with the 10-20mm Sigma lens.

I purchased this product as a gift. The person that received it is extremely happy with this camera. It does need a few more lenses to be complete for what they want it for, but I thought this was a nice package to get started with. They photograph reptiles and needed the MP to be a pretty high resolution. Overall the end results seem to be very satisfying. It has done its job very well and with a little more practice the pictures will turn out perfectly. The ease of use is also pretty clear for a newcomer into the DSLR world.

The Nikon D3200 Digital SLR camera is EXCELLENT! I also have a Canon Rebel SLR camera(which I love also) that is comparable to the Nikon D3200 and I have found that I like the D3200 better because of the clarity of the pictures taken. Very clear, very good color, and excellent lighting. I would HIGHLY recommend this camera.

Very easy to us. Almost intuitive. Buttons all seem to be it the right place. Perhaps the only negative (and not really on) is that the camera does SO much. I doubt I'll ever use it to full capability. The ease of a point and shoot with the sophisication of a very expenseive DSLR.

I was always frustrated by the limited control I had with the standard point-and-shoot. Since I love traveling but also enjoy exploring my home town with a camera, the D3200 became my constant companion. After getting used to the many functions (many as in comparison to point-and-shoot) I believe the camera is perfect for beginners or hobby photographers. The display is large and easy to understand. Live view works very well. Many standard functions (flash on/off, etc.) are easy and fast to manipulate. Overall a great camera for a good price!
