This accessory should have been included with the Sony Camcorder HDR-GW77V. Its small,light weight, with fold-in plug prongs, easy to carry, and much more convenient to charge the batteries over the included charger.
Given that the GW77V is an underwater camera, it makes little sense that you have to leave the (critical) sealing door open to the atmosphere during recharging. A full charge can take up to two hours PER battery!
That's why I prefer to use this battery charger. Its easy to use and protects my investment of a very pricy camera.
