The dynadock U3.0 Universal USB 3.0 Docking Station from Toshiba is a USB 3.0 hot plug and play docking station that will allow users to connect additional peripherals to their system such as an external display, external storage, speakers, keyboards, mice, printers, and more. While it does include a USB 3.0 cable for connecting to your system, it is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
This docking station is equipped with 4 x USB 3.0 ports, two of which double as "Always-On" Sleep and Charge ports to supply power to and charge devices such as phones, tablets, cameras, MP3 players, and more. Also built into this system is a Gigabit Ethernet port for network connectivity, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 5 x 3.5mm microphone and headphone jacks, an HDMI video out port, and a DVI-I video out port. While the HDMI port does support 5.1 audio and Full HD 1080p for videos and gaming on an external display, the dock's integrated graphics card supports display resolutions up to 2048 x 1152. 5.1 channel audio is also supported using the three rear 3.5mm audio jacks.
The dynadock U3.0 features a space saving and upright slim design that helps to reduce cable clutter within your work environment. It is compatible with virtually all systems running Windows 8, 7, Vista, and XP that run a minimum of a 1.6 GHz Intel Pentium or Celeron, as well as an AMD K6, Athlon, Duron, or compatible processor. An Intel Core 2 Duo is recommended for optimal video performance. A USB 3.0 or 2.0 port is required, as is 50MB of disk space and a CD-ROM drive or Internet access. While the dock will work with 1GB of RAM, 2GB or higher is recommended.
Included with the dynadock U3.0 Universal USB 3.0 Docking Station is a 3.0' USB 3.0 cable, a base plate, an AC adapter, a power cord, and a DVI to VGA adapter. It is covered by a limited 1-year warranty and the integrated security lock slot helps to deter theft.
