- ArtRage Studio 3.5 Software
- The Bamboo Splash comes with ArtRage Studio 3.5 software, making it a great tablet for teachers, traditional or digital artists, and beginners alike. ArtRage is a painting and drawing package that allows you to produce natural-looking artwork on your computer. It offers a wide range of artistic tools like oil paints and watercolors, as well as utilities to make painting easier like layers and tracing images. Special effects tools are also available like sticker sheets and glitter. The interface is customizable and easy to use. While ArtRage uses its own file format you can import and export a number of different formats if you want to work with images from other applications

I bought this for my 15 year old son and he loves it. I love that he is learning a new skill and is able to edit and design projects faster and more efficiently with this tablet. Without a large initial investment this tablet will give him the skills he needs to be able to transition to a professional Wacom when needed! The price was perfect and the quality was better than expected in comparison to my intuos 5! The stylus is comfortable in your hand and the surface area is responsive and smooth. I would recommend this tablet to anyone just starting out or even beginner designers and photographers.

I use a superior model of Wacom at school, but I have found this tablet is more than sufficient for photo editing! Unfortunately within the first month something happened to my pen and it got jammed. I thought at first the point just fell out, but I can't insert another point. Good deal I got the warranty.

It takes some practice to use the tablet properly. Like, unlike your finger on a track pad, you need to lift the pen above the tablet to move your cursor, otherwise, you just draw a line. But once you're there it's very nice to correct your pictures accurately.

Everything is pretty solid. It's fun and easy to get use to. The only thing I didn't really care for was the watercolor brush. It really didn't seem to produce a watercolor effect, it just seemed lighter than the original color. I do like this and would recommend it.

This was a gift for my teenage daughter. B&H got it to me well before Christmas, and they were less expensive than local, big box retailers. Easy set up... after I set it up on the family desktop, she had no problems setting it up on her notebook. She hasn't stopped using it since Christmas Day.

I was doubtful about the Bamboo Splash since the reviews were mixed – some recommended higher models like Bamboo Create and Bamboo Create. The product is amazing, and easy to use and I am glad I got the Bamboo Splash. I use it for doodling, painting, taking notes and works on many applications once the drivers are installed. I have a Macbook Air, and I used the Bamboo Splash with GIMP, Sketchbook Express, and ArtRage to name a few. The pen functions just like a mouse to navigate menus and move the cursor (very sensitive without even needing to press on the pad), and when pressed on the board it acts like a pen and is extremely sensitive and accurate. The pen has two buttons that you can program easily, like make it erase when pressed or move an image ..etcThe reason I got the Bamboo Splash and not the other models was mainly for: 1) Software: It comes with ArtRage and Sketchbook Express (free any ways). ArtRage is amazing and is valued by itself, it is wonderful software and you will spend countless hours playing with it. 2) I didn't care much about the touch pad feature, because I will not be doing any photo editing. Also, if you are holding the pen, you can use the pen to navigate the cursor like a mouse any ways and much quicker. I didn't care much for the fancy erase feature since you can program one of the pen buttons to function as an eraser when pressed.
