In addition to hearing 7.1 channels of powerful surround sound through your home theater system, you can enjoy advanced network capabilities like listening to Internet Radio and playing music files stored on your PC. Take advantage of services like Sirius XM Internet Radio, Pandora and Flickr as well as Apple's Airplay technology which lets you listen to music content from the iTunes library on your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, PC or Mac. Consistent Power for High Quality Sound
Each channel is powered by a discrete circuit. This allows the receiver to reproduce original sound more faithfully than conventional models which use integrated circuits
3D-Ready Home Theater System
The AVR-1913 features 3D pass through technology -- connect a Blu-ray disc player and 3D TV and you can build your own 3D home theater system with HD sound and video
Audyssey Technologies for Enhanced Audio
Integrated Audyssey technologies allow for the best sound quality possible. Audyssey Dynamic Volume offers real-time volume adjustment, while Audyssey DynamicEQ improves your system's surround effects during low volume levels. Audyssey MultEQ automatically sets the speakers to suit your room's listening environment and the characteristics of your speakers
Dolby Pro Logic IIz for Spatial Expression
With the option of two additional height channels, Dolby Pro Logic IIz adds a vertical dimension to the soundstage, providing more immersive surround sound
Minimum Signal Path for Clear Audio & Video
A simple and straight design concept is featured in the signal paths to contribute to optimal audio and video playback. The signal paths are as short as possible to keep degradation to a minimum
Built-in Upscaler for Playing HD Video
An internal video scaler converts standard definition analog video to high definition 1080p signals. This allows you to enjoy standard definition video sources like DVDs in much higher definition imaging
Assign Power Amps for Different Audio Setups
This receiver gives you the option to reassign power amps to suit a variety of listening styles
6 HDMI Inputs
This receiver has six HDMI inputs which include one on the front panel. These make it easy to connect a camcorder, tablet, or other mobile devices so you can enjoy videos, photos or music
Front Panel USB Port
Use this integrated input to connect an iPod, iPhone, iPad or other USB devices and enjoy digital music playback
Compatible With Denon Remote App
Execute basic commands with your iPad, iPhone, Android smartphone or Android tablet by downloading the Denon Remote App -- you can turn the receiver on or off, control volume, and switch the source all from your portable device
Easy to Use
The intuitive GUI has large characters that are easy to read. The Setup Assistant guides you through initial setup to simplify the process. Meanwhile, four quick select buttons let you preset volume level and surround mode for the sources you use the most. The provided remote controller is powered by two AA batteries, which come in the box

Comments about Denon AVR-1913 7.1 Channel 3D Pass Through and Networking Home Theater Receiver:

I bought this receiver to use to do an ipod wedding reception dance. Was using it with some high quality JBL speakers. I had the volume set to about 80% and after about 50 minutes the device overheated and shut off. After about 45 seconds it turned back on, but then shut off again. Thank God the reception room had a high quality system that we were able to quickly switch over to or the reception would have been a disaster!

Nothing was blocking the receiver at all. The speakers that were being used were from a JBL SCS200.7 home theater pack. I was using a satellite speaker for zone 2 and a center speaker and a second satellite speaker for zone 1.

    Center Speaker: 100W, 100Hz-20kHz (-6dB)
    8 Ohms Satellite: 100W, 110Hz-20kHz (-6dB)

Comments about Denon AVR-1913 7.1 Channel 3D Pass Through and Networking Home Theater Receiver:

I bought this to replace my excellent but all-analog Sony receiver. My requirements included support for speakers in a second room and Internet radio. I'm mostly very happy with it, with a few disappointments.

PRO: Excellent setup features, excellent results
          - Computer-assisted setup, including automatic calibration of each speaker using a (supplied) microphone, automatic detection of phase errors (reversed speaker polarity). The result is output that is perfectly tuned to your speakers and your room. I'm very happy with the result.
          - Excellent menus for configuring the input devices, including customizing the labels that are displayed for each
          - Support for speakers in a separate room (zone 2). "7.1" can be configured as 5.1 in one room and 2 in a second room. That's how I'm using it. AND: the second zone has its own volume control and can even play something entirely different than the main room (e.g. TV in the main room and FM or Internet radio in Zone 2).
          - Separete power amp for each speaker. Lots of reasons why this is a good design.
          - Besides Internet radio, the network connection enables the unit to automatically update its software so you get the latest & greatest features & bug fixes.

          CON:
          - No digital (HD) FM receiver - analog radio only. (Big disappointment for me. What WERE they thinking?!)
          - Only wired networking; no wireless. I had to run a Cat6 cable through the crawl space to hook it up. What a pain!
