Kaiser 77mm 3-in-1 Rubber Lens Hood

You Pay: $23.01
Product Highlights
  • For Lenses with 28-200mm Focal Lengths
  • Metal Screw-In Mount
  • Adjustable

The 77mm 3-in-1 Rubber Lens Hood from Kaiser is designed for lenses with focal lengths anywhere between 28mm and 200mm (35mm equivalent). Because their flexible yet sturdy rubber construction allows them to fold in on themselves and hold that position, they are considered 3-in-1. When left in their unfolded, longest position they are compatible with telephoto or long zoom lenses. When folded in once, they work for standard focal length lenses and when folded back twice, they serve for wide-angle lenses.

A metal screw-in mount firmly attaches them to 77mm diameter lenses and in their fully retracted position they can be kept on the lens permanently for added protection against bumps and scratches. Made from matte black rubber and with light baffles, they deflect stray light to keep your images free from light flares. The interior of the lens hood contains a filter thread for 77mm lens filters. These Kaiser lens hoods are an affordable and adaptable way to protect your lenses and an invaluable accessory when shooting in tricky light.

Adjustable
Three-way adjustability for focal lengths between 28 and 200 mm.
Glare and Flare
Blocks unwanted sunlight or other source light from entering lens and producing glare or lens flare.
Protective
The sturdy but flexible rubber construction protects the lens from accidental impact.

Comments about Kaiser 77mm 3-in-1 Rubber Lens Hood:

This rubber hood is great, even though the one I received was defective (that's why 4 stars). The rubber was only partially attached to metal ring. I decided to return, and the Customer Support issued a prompt refund. What I liked about this hood, it is more portable than the plastic hood that comes with lens. It is flexible, even elegant. It can assume 3 extended positions for different lenses and can be completely inverted on lens for storage/transportation. I also have a cheaper rubber hood sold by Goja, it is ok (the rubber part is a little bulky). I like the hood from Keiser better.

It does what it sais, but the material is a low quality rubber, putting the camera with the hood in the bag is a nightmare..
              use a rigid instead...

Comments about Kaiser 77mm 3-in-1 Rubber Lens Hood:

It is simple, inexpensive (not cheap), fast to deploy, effective, protects the lens in the camera bag, and takes up less room than a hard lens hood.

Comments about Kaiser 77mm 3-in-1 Rubber Lens Hood:

It's my all-in-one lens hood. I can keep it on the lens at all times and it packs well in my camera bag. I like the convenience of not having to fiddle around with it's use when working with a polarizing filter. I've recommended it to my photo buddies. Truly a great bargin.

I use this on a GH2 dslr with 50mm, 28, & 14 lenses. Works great. Sometimes a bit hard to screw onto filter threads, but after a bit you get it on and it's secure. Collpases nicely for storage. Nice hood for shading against glare/light.

I use this product in all the types of photography that I do. A great feature it is its three different positions fully, partially, or retracted positions. This is especially nice when using wide angle lens where as the rigid hood causes shadows in the corners of the image.
