Comments about Smith-Victor ECA (250W/120V) Lamps (Pack of 6):
I thought that if I buy a bulk pack of six, I would be saving a few pennies, but as it turned out, these bulbs are awful. The first bulb I used burned out within two hours. Then when I replaced it with another bulb, that one burned out also within two hours. These bulbs are not good for everyday photography. I previously had Envo which lasted for about a month (or two) but are a little pricey so I thought I would try something different. As always... less isn't always better.

It's actually handy to stock up on these in this way, as this is not an item found at a local hardware or @, etc.

Comments about Smith-Victor ECA (250W/120V) Lamps (Pack of 6):
Great bulbs. The 3000K white balance doesn't really balance with many other light sources, so think about getting some gels if you plan on mixing this light source with anything else.
They are super bright though. Using a simple reflector set up, you can easily fill and balance on a bright day. So I guess, they're actually brighter than the sun, lol.
They get very, very hot. But unlike halogen bulbs, the oils from your skin will not make them explode. When they're off and cool, you can handle them bare handed. When they're on, don't.
They are also pretty durable. No need to baby them.
