i had another hdmi converter and ran into hdcp issues. no problems here, altho apple tv + netflix have some things to work out ( that's unrelated, but just as troublesome, nonetheless :) ) highly recommended!

A pretty self-explanatory piece of equipment. Plug one end into the HDMI connector on the Apple TV and then one output to your stereo amplifier and the other to a VGA input, either monitor or projector. We're using it with a projector and the only problem is that our screen isn't wide enough. The dongle works great.

I'm using ATV pro to connect to my projector from my PS3. Works just fine and simple. I also connect it to my Xbox 360 and works just as easy. Fast set-up right out of the box. Doesn't display true HD but works perfectly between projectors and any HDMI outputs. Great product.

The ATV Pro is not just for Apple. I have a Dell XPS 14z which has foregone the typical VGA port for HDMI only. Typical solutions would include either a USB, which would take the only USB 2.0 port, or other HDMI to VGA converters, that commonly require a separate power supply. The ATV Pro requires no extra cables and keeps my USB ports free. My Dell actually sees it as a third monitor (first is laptop screen and second is through USB port replicator). I usually use the port replicator while at my desk, but the ATV Pro is a great portable option when setting up with a projector in the conference room. I've only had it for a week, so I can speak to reliability just yet.
