The VAIO S1311 SVS13112FX/S 13.3" Notebook Computer (Silver) from Sony is built with the features and performance you need every day to stay connected and be entertained. The chassis of this Sony VAIO notebook features a distinctive wrap design that is sure to turn heads. The body sports a silver finish to give it a stylish look. The system is also loaded with Sony's Media Gallery software, which makes it easy to organize all of your digital media so you can access your favorite music, photos and movies without having to dig through multiple folders.
For viewing all your favorite videos or photos, this Sony VAIO notebook supports Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) technology, which allows you stream HD video content to your HDTV. You'll need an Intel WiDi-compliant TV adapter, such as the Netgear Push2TV (sold separately), to utilize this technology. You can also use the integrated HDMI port on your Sony VAIO notebook to connect to your HDTV using an HDMI cable (sold separately), which supports both audio and video signals.
The system is powered by a dual-core 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-3210M processor. It also has 6GB of DDR3 RAM (4GB + 2GB), a 640GB 5400rpm hard drive, a SuperMulti DVD burner, 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, an integrated webcam, microphone and stereo speakers. Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.

we dont know whats wrong yet but this is unacceptable. bought it 4 months ago for daughter in college. it has died on her twice and she has lost what she was typing.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I have another Viao 15.5 which is about 8 years old and works fine but a bit heavy so I bought this laptop for the size, mobility, speed and hard disk space. It gets 10/10 for each of those aspects. It has the coolest feel of keyboard and handling. Its not too thin like the ultrabook that you will feel will break! Compared to the T series this has the in dash DVD Drive which comes handy, as I always play music CDs, DVDs etc on it whenever I want without looking for an exteranal drive.
