Comments about Behringer Xenyx QX1202USB Premium 12-Input 2-Bus Mixer:

This is a handy gadget that fits in the budget. I use it in my home studio for recording and karaoke, and it does the job well. It provides enough inputs/outputs to the equipment I have, also have a build-in audio interface so that you can use it to record sounds to PC.

Comments about Behringer Xenyx QX1202USB Premium 12-Input 2-Bus Mixer:

This small mixer is GREAT! It has all the features you need (multi-band EQ, High-end effects, Vocal Compression, etc.) to support live performances, as well as home recording projects. The mixer is very quiet and all the controls are logically laid out. Plus this little mixer weighs only a couple of pounds and is easy to drop in a bag to take to your gigs! Highly recommend it for small jazz/folk combos, as it has all the connections you'd really need and all are very high quality!

Comments about Behringer Xenyx QX1202USB Premium 12-Input 2-Bus Mixer:

This mixer is exactly what I was shopping for. A mixer that was affordable, portable, flexible, with an internal fx. I needed a compact mixer that I could interface with my laptop for recording demos, multi tracks etc. . this on does it all. Fx are good for live shows. Plus there are 99 different presets . since I have been working on a no budget, this is a sweet piece of gear for the price. As for dependability. I have only had it for a few weeks. I wouldn't drop it. Don't' think it would take it. overall does everything I wanted for a great price. I have recommended to friends already.

Comments about Behringer Xenyx QX1202USB Premium 12-Input 2-Bus Mixer:

I wanted a mixer for dual purposes. I have a three piece acoustic band and do sound for special events on occassion. I have a 16 channel mixing board that I use for those larger events. For my 3 piece I wanted something that I could set up quickly and use for rehersals and recording. The QX 1202 met my expectations and more. At this price point, there is nothing out there that even comes close. The effects are excellent. They are easily dialed in and adjustable and you have multiple effects options as well. Simply effective, one knob compression on four XLR channels makes the vocals stand out in the mix. 12 balanced line inputs, along with TRS unbalanced main and control outputs makes this a versitile piece of equipment. It also has a 2x2 USB out, record two tracks to stereo outs, that can connect to your recording software on either a PC or Mac USB port. They have drivers available online that helps with any latency issues. I set up two pencil condensor mics for recording an acoustic guitar using the built in phantom power with effects and compression, sending the signal out of the stereo RCA of the QX to a Boss digital recorder in, and.... sweet! I got a clean, rich recording that allowed my acoustic guitar to sound like one. I don't know whether it is a 16 or 24bit unit.
I do wish that there was an additional aux out to use for monitors at live shows, you can use the control or headphone out for this purpose, and also, it would have been great if it had come with a full User Service Manual in the box or on line, but as of this writing they only have a Quick start manual and a product brochure available.
Really minor issues, if you have some experience. Bottom line? What a gem. A lot of valuable features in a great little package. I've only had it a couple of weeks, so I'll report back on durability later. It feels good so far and I'm really happy with this purchase.

This purchase was for a small home studio in my RV of all places!! lol It is perfect for my desire to get back into playing and recording again after a 5 year absence. It does what I need, and is full of features. I like the compressor and routing capabilities best. B & H's prices are the best as is their customer service. I ordered a different QX1002, but it became BO'd and they informed me and I saw this for just a little bit more and it was in stock. Fast shipping, will do more with them as my needs expand. Thanks!!
