Comments about Kingston 64GB Wi-Drive Wi-Fi Enabled Flash Storage:

I bought this product so that all my kids could connect to it to watch movies in the car. Imagine each iPod/iPad with the ability to connect and watch movies. There was an earlier review that said you can't charge it and use it at the same time. I found that you actually can. Here's the deal, this thing is basically a media server with a router. So when you plug it into your car it may reboot and take a bit before it can accept computers to connect. Once the blue wifi lights are lite, connect.

Here's the funny thing, I loaded 35 movies on this and still had half the storage open. But my kids used it to connect their minecraft game so that they all could have their own iPods but okay in the same game together. In Essenes it acted as router to allow local gameplay. I would imagine this would work for any ios game that allows local network play.

Hands down a great device that is just as small as an iPhone or iPod. Very good technology. All solid state.

The perfect way to add or share storage between noble devices and your pc or mac. The widrive creates its own WiFi network than can be accessed through an ap on the iTunes store or android play store.

Comments about Kingston 64GB Wi-Drive Wi-Fi Enabled Flash Storage:

This wi-drive does expand storage but one must synch through a laptop. So, while my Ipad can access data from the drive, to download data from my Ipad, I have to synch first to my MacBook Pro then I can download from the laptop to the Wi-Drive. A little more cumbersome than I thought, but still provides a back-up and storage for things I do not need to keep on my Ipad all the time (books, movies, etc.) Would like to see Kingston create a 250 and 500 GB version, but this is a lovely, small portable unit.

Comments about Kingston 64GB Wi-Drive Wi-Fi Enabled Flash Storage:

We bought this drive to hold extra movies to watch on our 16GB iPad. It does that well with movies you buy or convert from DVD, but not with movies you rent (as far as I can tell). That's something I wish I'd known before I bought, although I probably would have bought this anyway. Like I said, it worked well for me on the movies I own.

Comments about Kingston 64GB Wi-Drive Wi-Fi Enabled Flash Storage:

Loading of data in the memory, was straight forward. Recovering it to the computer if wired was like any external memory drive. The instructions manual is vague and incomplete.
When attempting to retrieve wireless (Wi-Fi), the computer, I.pad or I.phone acknowledges the signal but tells me that connecting was not possible.
I spent nearly one hour with the technical assistance on the phone trying to resolve the problem. Finally he switch me to an other person and gave me a case number to return and get a replacement.
Several days ago after sending the receipt and so on they promised me instructions for such return but nothing so far.
I hope I got a lemon but I won't know until I try the new one
