The CM6870-US-3AB Desktop Computer from ASUS is simple yet powerful desktop computer that excels at multimedia. With integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 as well as support for Full HD 1080p content, you'll be able to immerse yourself in a cinematic experience by connecting this ASUS desktop computer to a HD monitor or HDTV via the HDMI port.
The 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 port on this ASUS desktop computer computer will have you surfing the Web, streaming video or playing multiplayer games at blazing speeds. If you're looking to place your ASUS desktop computer somewhere your Ethernet cable can't reach, you'll be able to connect using 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. If you connect your ASUS desktop computer to your home wireless Wi-Fi network and also link your ASUS desktop computer to your HDTV using an HDMI cable, you'll have your very own home entertainment center.
The system is powered by a quad-core Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz Intel Core i7-3770 processor. This is my new personal server. I use this box to run a number of virtual machines. The Core i7 3770 processor with 16GB of RAM is perfect for doing this. The 2TB drive works for my purposes too however, it is a bit slow. Instead of replacing it with a faster HDD I'm waiting for a SDD with good caching technology (ie. not Windoze based drivers). I can't comment on the GPU yet but I'm hoping to use it in a program I'm working on.
Other pros... Very quiet, energy effiecent (even though I turned a bunch of those options off).
Other cons... A lot of very useful things are turned off in the BIOS/EFI by default. Most all of them are compatible with the Win7 that is installed on it, so I'm not sure why. I'd suggest checking it out as you will see some easy (and free) speed improvements.
I haven't received any compensation for writing this review but I'm sure hoping to win the random drawing for review writers. ;)

I spec'd out a custom build computer and then found this for [$]more. Thought it was worth not having to put it all together myself. Wosh I could start over with my custom build parts. I opened the machine and voided the warranty, than pulled the wimpy power pack (350watts) to add 3 hard drives. That's all this case will hold. I had to Velcro one of them inside. I also added a case fan because it only comes with a CPU fan and power pack fan.

First time ASUS buyer after 10+ years of Dell. I love how fast the processor works. Photoshop opened in about 1 second flat. I was blown away. I was definitely ready for a new computer and I'm not disappointed. (by the way, it comes with HDMI, DVI and VGA output - the specs just said HDMI & VGA)

Fast, dependable. The front (4) USB ports and card readers are very handy and eazy to access. Would have been nice to have recover disks included, but was no trouble to burn my own.

I build my on computers over the last 15 years or so, the last one used an Asus mother board that performed beyond my earlier expectations. Again I planned to build another and again with an Asus motherboard.
But I found that I could purchase a complete Asus compter from B&H Photo for less than I could purchase the piece parts! And the Asus offered by B&H even included Window's 7 which I would have installed in a home built computer.
Check out the Asus CM6870-US-3AB Desktop specifications that include Sata! They are unbeatable both from a price and performance perspective from B&H Photo!!! A great product at a great price!!

This is one fast and furious machine, with 16 (yes, sixteen) MB of RAM. I often have six or seven programs open at the same time, and it doesn't hesitate. The only thing I didn't realize was that it doesn't have sound, so unless your monitor does, you will need speakers.
Also, the price was great, the best around.

I replaced my i3 HP expecting to have better performance... but very disapointed. Opening outlook with a 10 gb file takes very long... opening any application as word, explorer, etc... you have to wait a while... when copying from an external drive to the HDD in the unit place every other application on hold... simple applications as webbrowser, word, etc, nothing heavy... cant imagine what will happen when I try to render 3d graphics... ready to return.

I just starting to use this computer after transfering all my data from my old computer to this one. This is so much faster in responce, that I 'm really not used to it. This is my everyday computer that I use for home use, and it flys to each program or site I choose. I am very happy with this. I am not a gamer, but I think it would do all right on some games.

I have only been using this computer for a week so can't give a very complete overview, but it has been going fine so far. Seems to have more zip than my older one with half the memory. Do have to buy a good video card for this one.
