Comments about Lorex Sony EXview II Image Sensor:

Added this camera to my Lorex system to "Zoom" in on a targeted location to be able to positively identify petty thiefs and vandals in my neighborhood and to aid police in a conviction. This camera does provide better video clarity at a distance over the cameras that came with my system (2 - LW2275's & 2 - MC7661's). It is more substantially built as well. I wish it came in grey/black to match the other cameras. Don't expect to identify license plate numbers, but the picture is good enough to make people "sing" to police how sorry they are for touching other peoples stuff when they are caught. The quality of the extension cables for all my wired cameras is low. I have experienced bad connections at the "V" where the cable splits into the power/BNC. If you "wiggle" the cable it makes connection. I have requested (so far) 2 of the 3 extension cables for my 3 wired cameras to be replaced under warranty. The zoom feature is nice. The focus feature is touchy and a slight movement can get you in focus or very blurry. Small gentle adjustments is the way to go. As the instructions say, because of the mount, it is not intended for ceiling mounting because of the limited overhead clearance of the camera. But, adding a 1/2" thick - 4" x 4" plexi base I was able to ceiling mount the camera and get the downward tilt I needed.

Comments about Lorex Sony EXview II Image Sensor:

I am sorry but I can think of nothing positive to say about this Sony EXview II Image Sensor by Lorex. Actually, I can: it is not worth Dime One.

However and having said that, B&H was absolutely stellar at issuing a hassle-free RMA and not only sent me a pre-paid return label but also reimbursed me for my shipping charge (I had elected UPS Ground, which arrives to me in one day).

I have been purchasing from B&H pretty much from their inception and they are absolutely fantastic. Thank you!

Comments about Lorex Sony EXview II Image Sensor:

Ability to adjust the viewing area is a big plus, but can be a hassle if you don't have the ability to view the output while adjusting the range & focus. Very good range and picture quality in all conditions including low/no light.
