The case has a full IP-68 rating against water and dust, and is designed according to military specifications. I'm an avid fisherman and have lost previous phones to moisture. I've been able to wade in streams keeping my phone completely submerged and not have any leaks or any issues whatsoever. Unlike other durable waterproof cases this case allows me to use all of the buttons and ports without removing the case. Something you can't do with a Hitcase or something similar.

the case was great the reason i changed it for the stormcruiser is that i was going snowmobiling and needed a case for that occassion but i will go back and buy the lifeproof as soon as winter is over, you guys are the best in products, prices ,service, and the candy you offer for the clients is addicting just kidding the candy in the bowls are very tasteful thanx for being b&h photo never change your service

The fit, finish, and design are all good. Much more comfortable to carry around in pocket than Otterbox Defender.Only complaint is the screen cover does not sit flat on the phone, so you have a slight gap between the phone screen and the screen cover. Kind of odd to get used to, and takes tapping the screen a little more firmly to use, but is not a problem once you get used to it. I have no experience in using it in the elements/rain, so cannot comment on that aspect.

Im a fisherman. I lost my broke my last Iphone by getting it wet. As a fisherman its bound to happen. I upgraded my contract and got a new Iphone 4S, and as extra insurance i wanted a waterproof case. I did a lot of research and came across this case and it seemed to be the best one for the job. It is very slim, not bulky by any means. The best thing about it, ITS WATERPROOF OF COURSE! I tested the case as directed by the instructions first, completely air tight. Installed my phone per instructions, put it underwater for 10 mins, no leaks. I have since had it out in the elements, rain, salt spray, (no immersment in water quite yet) and its worked just fine. Mu only concern is I dont know how long the snap seal will last, or the O ring inside. There is no sign of fatigue or anything yet, it just something to consider. My girlfriend liked mine, so she is ordering one for her phone as well.
