Great cover--I had similar problems as the other reviewer with the hard plastic cover not staying, but it's fine to leave it off. In fact, you can see the LCD better without it just using the paste on plastic sheet protector. I'm sure it would stay with just a small dab of glue if you really felt you needed it. The "skin" is soft, smooth, and doesn't fit the camera too tight. Even though the skin is slightly loose, I find that the camera is much easier to grasp with the little extra "bulk" (especially since I have long, skinny fingers). Buttons work great though, as others noted, the labels aren't painted. It was definitely worth purchasing at the price--the 5D mkiii is an expensive camera, and it's nice to have just a little extra peace of mind when it comes to keeping it in great condition... I'm sure I'll still keep an eye out for other options.

I'd have to say that after having my 5D Mk2 Camera Armor protector, this one for the Mk3 doesn't compare very well. The one for the 5D Mk2 was much stiffer rubber and much more detailed, eg had writing on the buttons. Yes I know not a big deal to not have labeled buttons, but at night can prove a problem. The skin is ok, smoother than previous versions but very loose and flexible, not very rigid. Two flaws is that it doesn't fit well when using an extended battery grip under the camera as it pushes the rubber up so it's all distorted and second is that the plastic LCD protective cover does not fit well. It moves around a lot and in one instance slipped out of the rubber and onto the floor. All in all I wouldn't recommend this BUT, if you want it for basic camera operation eg without extra gadgets ie the battery grip, then it's worth the price.

it feels great in the hand. perfect fit. i feel i'm caring the camera not a loos cover.

its only down, is the LCD protective cover is a cheep plastic, that came already full of scratches although it had a shipping protective adhesive film.

Not so snug but still protective

Comments about Delkin Devices Snug-It Pro Skin Camera Protector for the Canon EOD 5D Mark III:

So, I don't think this is as snug as it could be. And the outside feel needs to have a little more grip feel to it. It feels slick to the touch, at least to me. It take a few times to use your camera with it to get used to it. Especially the buttons and the wheel. The top wheel sets down a bit low I think. But that's where the snugness comes in. I think it needs to be just a hair smaller maybe and then it would fit like a glove. Nevertheless, I do like it and will get used to it. I like the protectiveness to the camera body it affords. So overall I rate it higher than average. But again if it were just a bit snugged I would have given it a five.

This is good to have if you're traveling as extra protection for your camera but for every day use it drives me crazy so I removed. I prefer gripping the actual camera. But buttons are still accessible when it is on.

I'm an older guy - dry hands, so Richard Nixon would have liked me. THe problem with this is not the President's judgment of character, but for the Delkin skin, my hands are too dry to maintain any real grip. Others note that this is
"not tacky" - the surface, that is. For me, the skin is very slippery, and I don't feel comfortable holding the camera with the grip on. It fits well, and is decently thought out and manufactured, but I am constantly in fear of dropping my 5D3 - I put it on, took it out for a test walkabout, came home, and took it off. The camera surface itself is better suited to holding the camera securely. Since I use a Nikon handstrap on the camera, it wouldn't actually fall to the ground, but the slippery surface doesn't help in confidently pressing buttons and turning dials. If your hands are naturally damp, go for it - otherwise try to find someone who already has one, and try out the feel for yourself.

Comments about Delkin Devices Snug-It Pro Skin Camera Protector for the Canon EOD 5D Mark III:

This is my second Snug-It-Pro for my 5DMIII. The first one lasted just over 2 years and probably would have lasted a lot longer than that, but I would have to take it off whenever I wanted to do reverse lens macro. Which is what eventually caused it to tear. My first one worked, but was a little loose so I wasn't all that happy with it, but it does do a great job of protecting the camera so I left it on. Once it tore I used my camera without it for two days and realized I actually prefer the feel if the buttons with the Snug-It-Pro on so I ordered another one (the one that promoted this review). Delkin has made some fit improvements in the two years since my first one and now it fits the camera like a glove! I am slightly embarrassed how excited I was with the replacement. Anyways, I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to protect their expensive camera bodies.

If you like to protect your $200 phone from bumps and bruises, you get a phone case. If you take your $2,000 camera out to shoot, you should protect it with a camera skin case.
                    Great:
It covers the camera body all over.
                    Not so great:
Its called the snug it pro, but fits more like snug it amateur. Could be tighter and give a more assuring feeling.
                    Not good:
                    LCD protective cover, scratches easily.
Scratches from moving around in the retail packaging during shipping.

Protect your investment, nothing else like it on the market.

I use cameras on a daily basis for training videos and training photography. We work in the oilfield industry, and I wanted a skin that could hold up to the weather and protect my 5D investment. The skin fits tight and it was easily installed. You just have to take off the neck strap, and then put it back on. While the LCD cover protects the screen well, it makes the screen hard to see in really bright sunlight. The hard plexiglass cover just slips into the skin, and it doesn't really stay in place well. I think I will probably end up removing it for these reasons. The buttons work well, but due to the thickness of the skin, the knobs are slightly recessed, making them slightly hard to operate. I think that once it breaks in, it will be fine. I would definitely recommend this if you plan to pack around your camera. It provides nice protection against dings.

Comments about Delkin Devices Snug-It Pro Skin Camera Protector for the Canon EOD 5D Mark III:

I was reading all the reviews before buying this and so far I am very happy. My biggest concern was to use RRS L grip for my 5 D Mark III.It is essential for me to have L grip on the camera at all the time. After installing the Pro Skin on the camera I was trying to put L plate on and first 20 minutes I have difficulties it just couldn't fit. Than I use to the little workout I needed to do with my hands to gently force the L Plate stay on the camera and not damage anything.I manage to do it but vertical position of the L plate is slightly leaning away from the camera very slightly which can be compensated with 1-2 millimeters with my tripod head tilting to the right side.It works but I wish maybe Delkin and RRS work together to have compatible product in case somebody wants to use both.Skin is very loose pretty much from the center of the camera to the bottom part but it is manageable.Neck strap was very hard to install having skin on it just couldn't fit through the hole for neck strap. But with patience it can be done. Now it take all a little bit more space in the camera bag but it is protected from elements in case I will go to desert and mountains.I didn't used the LCD protector coming with this Skin but bought Vello Snap on LCD Screen and it is usable with the Delkin Skin on the camera in the same time. There is still a lots of room for improvement for these skins and if Delkin is reading these reviews maybe 5 D Mark IV will have the best skin compatible with RRS L plates and have also better LCD protectors - also top lcd screen should be protected but none of the products Delkin skin or Vello read LCD covers came with one. I need to buy one. My suggestion is also make the skin surface more textured so it is not slippery in the hand.

Great product for serious protection of the 5d Mark III. It is good for video work but not good for event work. The buttons take a lot more attention and umph to engage. In fast shooting situations you will miss shots ect. But for video work, mounting to tripods, it is great. I bought this to protect the camera when I'm doing time lapse, crane work, ect.

Some people complain that it is too loose but personally I feel it adds to the grip. I haven't used the back lcd cover so don't know about it falling out but I can see what others are talking about. If you pay $4k for the camera, I would highly recommend this extra $ purchase. Not only does it label and allow perfect access to all switches knobs and buttons; but in my opinion the flat rubber coat gives the who unit a certain solid and military "stealth" feeling that makes me want to pick up the camera and play with it every time I see it (whereas without the cover I'm almost afraid to touch it for fear of breaking such a high cost investment!)

The skin provides good coverage, goes on well. protects camer from bumps and scrapes.buttons work very well under skin and everything that isn't supposed to be covered isn't.buttons labeled nicely and keeps dust out of the little gaps. very exacting fit with camera model.with that being said fit is a little loose, and that causes the screen cover on the back to pop out easily. a little tighter would be better, it stretches easily so it shouldnt be a problem. not to sure about the hotshoe cover. kinda in the way when putting on the speedlite. Its flaws are minor and overall i would recommend this skin it does a great job protecting your camera.

As far as I can determine, this is pretty much the only option available for gear protection, and it does what it is designed to do (maybe a bit loose around the bottom). It doesn't accomodate the Battery Pack at all well, so be prepared to either trim the bottom or just live with jury rigging. Fortunately it is much easier to change lenses here than my experience with the 5D Mk II Snug-It: no trimming needed. Others have commented on lack of clear identification for buttons, but it wasn't an issue for me after learning the gear.
Only other nice to have is a clear cover for the top LCD panel, but Snug-It just doesn't seem to provide them.
