    OK battery

Comments about Fenix Flashlight Rechargeable ARB-L2 18650 Li-Ion Battery:

Not the highest capacity units out there, but at least they don't seem to misrepresent their capacity like some others do. Provides plenty of runtime in my PD35 as long as I don't use the high modes too much.

    Wrong Batteries

    By New Diver

Comments about Fenix Flashlight Rechargeable ARB-L2 18650 Li-Ion Battery:

Bought a Fantasea BlueRay Radiant Video Light # 6041.

The light CAME WITH 2 Tenergy rechargeable batteries and a Tenergy battery charger. These Fenix batteries came up as accy spare batteries for this light to purchase.

These batteries are not made for this light. Fantasea wants "Button Top" batteries and the Fenix are NOT. They seem to be a bit longer, maybe making up for the missing button top??? but the bottom line is Fantasea uses Tenergy batteries because they feel the protection circuit is better and the full power time ratings are all based on Tenergy batteries. They would not guarantee me that the Fenix batteries would have the same life as the Tenergy. They also told me that the batteries MUST have a button top, but I never found that requirement in their owners manual???

I never opened the Tenergy battery charger OR the Fenix batteries. Because the Fenix batteries are a bit lobger I'm not even sure they would fit in the Tenergy charger.

You can buy Tenergy batteries right from Fantasea or B & H.

I was NOT comfortable mixing different mfg batteries with this light. Fenix "might" be fine (if they worked), I just don't know for sure. I wanted all of my 6 batteries to be the same. I also don't like mixing one mfg charger with a different mfg batteries. I like putting Tenergy batteries with a Tenergy charger. All the same keeps odd issues from showing up, at least that's how I think. Batteries are about the same price so it makes no since to "hope" everything works correctly. Not good thinking.

I have just generally given this Fantasea BlueRay Video light a five, but I have NEVER used it. Heard a lot of good feedback about it and saw a video of a guy diving with two of them and he loved them. It is certainly a great value for the lumens vs others. If it works as promised I will more than likely buy another.

It would be a very good thing if B & H included in their info on these Fenix batteries that they absolutely WILL WORK with this light. OR have Tenergy batteries also come up so a person could make a choice. I'm just the kind of guy that always goes with the mfg. If they INCLUDE Tenergy batteries with their light, that's a message to me, and I'm not going to fight it when the price is the same.

Time will tell, but at least I'm starting out of the blocks with all the same equipment.

2 Out Of 4 Fenix 18650 Not Charging

Comments about Fenix Flashlight Rechargeable ARB-L2 18650 Li-Ion Battery:

          I recently purchased 4 Fenix L218650 Li-Ion batteries.
I inspected the packages when they arrived and all seemed fine.
I put them on my charger to prep them for use in my flashlights and to have 2 fully charged spare batteries. Well 2 of them never took a charge, and 2 of them did. After further inspection of the batteries, 2 of them appear to have a different Positive cap on them. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with their construction or failure to take a charge. I plan on buying a smart charger to see if I can salvage them otherwise I will be sending them back to B&H for a refund. I'm not impressed and I'm not happy with this purchase.

Does exactly what you need, replaces the need for purchasing expensive CR123A batteries when you need 2 CR123A's stacked on top of one another. It will pay for itself in a few charges.
