Comments about Cineroid HDMI Mini (Type C) Male to HDMI (Type A) Female (Back):

I'm using this on a Canon XA10 to help prolong the life of the HDMI connector. Canon, in their infinite wisdom, decided to put the mini HDMI connect under the hand strap which nearly assures that you will destroy the internal connector if using a straight plug. This should help releive some of the strain. It worked without a hitch on my last job. The only thing I might like changed is the length. It's just a little too short which means that the connection between it and the longer cable is very close to the camera thus introducing some twisting of it's own. I'll be looking for a 1-2 foot pigtail next.

I use this to get HDMI out of my Canon XA10. Then you can use any length of Type A cable to get where you need to. Great adapter.

Comments about Cineroid HDMI Mini (Type C) Male to HDMI (Type A) Female (Back):

I bought this to be able to send the video output from my new tiny camcorder to a larger HD monitor during shoots for client approval. (I plug in a standard HDMI cable into the female connector, then to the monitor input.) It impressed me with how well-made it seems. Very tough outer layers of flexible rubber make it seem like it'll last a long time. The right-angle feature lessens the chance that the plug will be pulled out of the camera accidentally or that it will get snagged on something (like my hand) during a shoot. I had to make sure that this cable didn't catch on the tripod head or the flip-out monitor on the camera; it's not perfect with my Panasonic HC-X900M camcorder because of the placement of the miniHDMI socket but it's working just fine.

I use it with my Canon 5D MKIII to feed my Steadicam Monitor.... Last weekend, literally, it was in The Ring with me shooting Foxy Boxing.... and a music video (during the fight...in the ring...with the Artist performing live...seriously insane shooting situation)....It did great.
