Comments about Western Digital My Net N600 Dual-Band Router:
Couldn't be happier with this purchase. I had tried a NetGear G-series router for my small apartment (also from B&H) and struggled to get more than 20% of the bandwidth speed coming from my internet cable. The customer service at B&H was quick and painless to return and get this WD N-series router. Now my internet is fully optimized from the wall to the WiFi. Multiple devices (laptops, iPhones, Nook, Blackberry) all work great and can be online simultaneously. Streaming shows online works great with minimal buffering. Excellent value for the price.

Comments about Western Digital My Net N600 Dual-Band Router:
I love ordering from B&H. Extremely fast order fulfillment, and ground shipping from their east coast location to my home in Washington state takes exactly one week. I've chatted with their customer service people online about products in the past and they are very friendly and helpful. I ordered this router because my existing 5 yr old Netgear router had begun dropping the wifi signal. In the last week while I was waiting for this new router, I was resetting the connection 10-20 times a day! I was also having networking problems between devices (Apple TV, iTunes, iPad, WB Mybook Live, etc). This new router works perfectly in my 1100 sq foot condo and all of the networking issues between devices have been corrected. I did have some setup issues, however. This was not related to the router itself, but with Comcast. The 1st Comcast "tech" didn't know what a DNS server was. I knew I was in trouble. Two "techs" later, and a chat with a supervisor, I finally gave up and turned to Google, which is what I should have done in the 1st place. If you have any issues, flushdns & registerdns via the command prompt should get you up and running.

Comments about Western Digital My Net N600 Dual-Band Router:
We're using this for our 3 story home. It broadcasts a fast signal on all three floors, even though the unit resides on the third story.
Setting it up took a little legwork, but was pretty self explanatory. I like that I can hook my external HDD to it and access it from multiple computers on the same network.

Comments about Western Digital My Net N600 Dual-Band Router:
I bought the My Net N600 to use with the basic wired modem provided by Time Warner cable. At first, I couldn't get my laptop to recognize the N600. The set-up program didn't give me much help, but once I unplugged the Cisco modem from TW and rebooted, the N600 was recognized and everything just started working very well. Making security adjustments and final set-up was easy with the provided software.
I'm using the modem with Road Runner Lite....so I can't really comment on how fast the N600 is working, but everything is quite speedy on my Lenovo laptop. I'm also using Netflix which works through my Samsung Blu Ray player. Most of the time, the streaming speed seems fine, but on occasions, the streaming can be a little rough or the system has to re-bufffer. Depending on how it goes, and if TW offers me the right deal, I'll upgrade to a faster service.
We have a 1700 square foot one floor house, and the signal maintains the same strength in every room. So, at this point, I'm quite pleased with the Western Digital My Net N600 router and suggest that you consider it if you are in the market for a router.
