The PT-EZ570U's durable optical engine with inorganic LCD panels and polarizers yields up to 10,000 hours of operation between maintenance sessions. Plus, it features a low-maintenance, dust-resistant cabinet design and a washable Eco filter that requires replacement after about 12,000 hours. The PT-EZ570U lamp life cycle can last up to 4,000 hours, and with the lamp set to Auto, the lamp control system automatically adjusts the lamp output in accordance with ambient light - reducing the brightness by as much as 70%.

It also uses color shift correction for fixing color balance. This can reduce power consumption, while maintaining optimum color. The additional optional lenses enhance the projector's overall flexibility.

In fact, by switching to picture-in-picture mode you can display a sub-window onto the main screen and position in any of the four corners. All of the various low-maintenance features result in a low total cost of ownership. The filter is easily replaced from the side and the lamp from the top.

Full-HD Ready 1900 x 1200 WUXGA Resolution
In response to the increasing popularity of widescreen image viewing, including Blu-ray content, the projector features a native WUXGA resolution for Full HD viewing. This brings you lifelike projection of intricate, highly detailed images
Daylight View Basic Function Ensures Clear Images Even in Brightly Lit Rooms
Panasonic's Daylight View Basic technology achieves sharp, easy-to-see images by clearly reproducing the details in dark image areas, which were previously difficult to see in brightly lit rooms. A built-in sensor measures the ambient light, and the Daylight View Basic function adjusts the halftone color and brightness level according to the surrounding illumination
Intelligent Lamp Control System
When the lamp power is set to Auto, the intelligent lamp control system automatically adjusts the lamp output in accordance with the brightness of the projected image and reduces it by up to 70 %. It also combines with color shift correction, which corrects the shift in the color balance that occurs when the lamp output drops. As a result, power consumption is effectively reduced while excellent color reproduction is maintained
Inorganic Materials Maintain Image Quality Longer
The projector's optical block maintains a high level of performance over time, due to the use of inorganic materials in the LCD panels and polarizers, thus achieving a replacement cycle of 10,000 hours. It also makes them the logical choice for a truly dependable LCD projector system
Eco Management Functions
A number of functions are provided to reduce power consumption. They adjust the brightness according to ambient light conditions, and reduce the lamp power when there is no signal input or the projector is in AV Mute mode. You can easily set the Eco Management functions according to operating conditions by using the ECO button on the remote control
Lamp Replacement Cycle of Up to 4000 Hours
The projector features a lamp replacement cycle of up to 4000 hours in Eco-mode. This helps to lower operating costs by providing longer usage between lamp replacements
Environmentally Friendly Standby Power Consumption of Only 0.4W
When the Standby mode is set to Eco, the standby power consumption is low at 0.4W. This lowers running costs, and helps to reduce environmental impact.

Comments about Panasonic PT-EZ570U LCD Projector:

A year ago, Betabrand mounted two of these on the 18' ceiling of our flagship store in San Francisco. They produce a 11.5' wide beam ~19' away from the wall. We chose these because there's a lot of light from the store windows, and we wanted video projection that would pop even in that bright of a space, even after the bulbs aged. These have worked quite well.
The bulbs have dimmed over the course of the year, but are still bright enough for our purposes. They've been running for at least 8 hours a day every day, and we just got a change-bulb warning.

Comments about Panasonic PT-EZ570U LCD Projector:

The unit is used primarily to show movies in a 55+ community with a Blu-ray DVD player on a cart in a large auditorium. The unit is ceiling-mountable, which will be done later.
Out of the box, the initial setup was hindered by an operators manual that was lacking in detail beyond powering the unit on and off. A CD-ROM included with the unit contained a manual describing all functions and settings in detail. However, a quick-start guide describing how to select an input, display various configuration screens, and perform a few basic functions would have been more useful to first-time users. Once the unit was configured, its performance for the past few weeks is impressive. This is a well-designed unit, and the features included are worth the extra money.

Comments about Panasonic PT-EZ570U LCD Projector:

Mounted on the ceiling of a 17'h x 35'w x 65'l hall that has windows on the South side and the image is bright and clear. The machine has a wonderful ability to adapt to its situation. No need for curtains! The brightness is adjustable. Notable, the generous vertical and horizontal lens shifts and bi-directional keystone adjustments via remote! Our's is tethered to a 50' Redmere enabled HDMI cable. The design objective was for non-technical people to operate it with little instruction, and that works. Being also able to tether the remote to a 50' stereo mini cable is very handy, no need to aim at the projector while staring at the screen (actually a wall). Most important, the donors, who put up the money are happy which should make further fundraising easier. A great purchase at a great price.

Sturdy construction, brilliant picture and great features like motorized focus, zoom and lens shift (i.e. available from the remote) make this a smart bet. Simple to mount with a standard universal mount (didn't need the expensive "official" mounting hardware), and it seamlessly integrated with our HDMI-centric setup.

Comments about Panasonic PT-EZ570U LCD Projector:

We have two of these projectors in a retail space with high ceilings (~18') and significant ambient daylight from front windows and store lighting. They are mounted ~15' up projecting 10' wide images and video onto a white wall, about 8-13' up. The projectors have to be mounted about 18' back from the wall, which is unfortunate - I wish the lens were wider angle, but other lenses are prohibitively expensive.
In these first weeks, the images are sufficiently bright and crisp. Bulbs dim significantly with age, so it remains to be seen how they will perform at that point.
We had a professional projector installer put these up, but the process is really not that complex. The unit accepts a universal mount (make sure the mount is rated for the weight).
