          Comments about Ruggard Legion 65 Messenger Bag:

          I think the question most of us have when buying something online, that we've not had the opportunity to look at first hand, is will it work for me. The dimensions provided by the manufacturer can be misleading at times and few reviews list what users are carrying in the bag. Luckily Ruggard provided both external and internal dimensions so that my decision to purchase the Legion 65 Messenger Shoulder Bag was made a lot easier. I already own the Ruggard Commando 36 DSLR Shoulder Bag so I was familiar with the construction and functionality of their products. The Legion 65 does not disappoint in that regard. I use the bag to carry the following;

          Nikon D7100 with the Nikon 80-400 mm VR zoom lens attached, including the lens hood reverse-mounted on the lens body. I stand this up vertically in the center of the bag.
          Tamron 24-70 mm lens, with the lens hood reverse-mounted on the lens body,
          Filters in a case for the Tamron lens,
          Ditty bag with lens cleaning clothes, solutions, dust blowers, etc.,
          Bushnell 10x42 binoculars and shoulder harness.
          The front pockets easily accommodate extra batteries, SD cards, shutter release, lens caps, etc.
          The notebook sleeve holds my 4th generation iPad in a neoprene sleeve.

          Gross weight is approximately 16 lbs. I'm 6'3" and like to carry the bag like a sling bag, hanging across my chest, rather than off my shoulder like a woman would carry her purse so find that the shoulder strap provided enough adjustment for me to carry it comfortably riding on my hip.
          The coolest feature for me is the zipper in the flap. I originally didn't think I would use it, but now find I really like it because I can unzip it and reach into the bag, without having to undo the hasp securing the flap, and quickly and easily remove my camera.

          Comments about Ruggard Legion 65 Messenger Bag:

          I needed a camera bag that would make it easier to carry my camera and laptop with accessories for both in a single bag. I travel for business and airline carry-on restrictions mean that I can't have a camera bag, a computer bag, and my luggage.
          I liked the look of a messenger-style bag and after talking to B&H support I made the decision to purchase the Ruggard Legion 65.
          The good: The bag holds my Nikon D7000 with extra lens, flash, batteries, etc and also my Mac Air 13" laptop with power cord and external hard drives as well as a small notebook. It has a comfortable strap and a top carrying handle. It is well constructed and slips on the handle of my carry-on easily and securely.
          The disappointing: The bag does NOT look like a messenger bag. The top is square making it look, in my opinion, like a camera bag. The shape makes it feel bulky and large.
          I wish the bag was a couple of inches taller so that the top flap could fold over like a true messenger bag.
