The N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router from TP-Link is optimized to combine the speed of 802.11n wireless technology, with the clarity and power of dual band antennas. With built-in printer support and USB 2.0 ports you can connect an even wider range of devices to print and transfer files wirelessly, and from any device on the network.

Using the traditional 2.4 GHz band you can easily browse, chat, email, and more at speeds of up to 300 Mbps, just as you've always done, while with the 5.0 GHz band you'll experience less interference from other wireless or bluetooth devices. This allows you to upload, download, and stream large media files to multiple devices at up to 450 Mbps. For more latency intensive programs, like online gaming, you'll experience clearer signals, faster connection speeds, and less lag than you would on previous wireless routers.

Simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz connections provide 300 Mbps and 450 Mbps transfer rates, respectively. This combines to a total available bandwidth of 750 Mbps, great for streaming music, movies, and online games
With two convenient USB 2.0 ports, your network-connected users and devices can share files through the router's FTP server. Having a built-in media server allows you to share music, video and photos with Windows Media Player, a Sony PS3, or Microsoft X-BOX 360--or print wirelessly
Achieves blazing WAN to LAN throughput of over 800 Mbps with hardware NAT
External detachable antennas allow for better alignment and the opportunity to upgrade to stronger antennas in the future

Setting up the router using the enclosed CD is a very simple, also making changes to settings latter is also easy through the web interface.

The dual band feature made it easy for me to set up secure wireless for all of my devices with each one having different requirements because of their different age and type.

My printer is on the compatibily list and I can't get it working from the USB port on the router so I still have to use it attached to my PC and keep it on to have other PC's on my metwork use it.

I also can see a thumbdrive attached using the web interface. I can see see it, and a main subfolder, but nothing else, and it doesn't show up in Windows Explorer.

This router was backordered for 3 weeks. When I got it I had to hurry and submit the rebate because the window had almost closed. That was a waste of time, because the product only works on the lower band (5 Ghz band never showed up, although it was enabled). Further, the product is slow and unreliable on the 2.4 Ghz band, wireless service is intermittent at best.

I updated to the latest firmware, twice, and nothing changed. Will send this back.

Comments about TP-Link N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router:

Purchased this for streaming Netflix to a wifi Blu-Ray player. Selected this unit for its high data transfer rate. It does what I need it to do and also looks surprisingly swanky.

Comments about TP-Link N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router:

First star down: Works great but it loses connection about once a month and you needs to restart or wait some unspecified time to reconnect to modem or device.
Second star down: the 5GHz has really low range, drops 1-2 android signal markings on tabled moving along in the same room, goes down to poor if wooden wall is in the way. (it's understandable, 5GHz signal doesn't bend behind corner) but compare to Airport Extreme (more than 3time more expensive) which at the same spot has very good signal this router perform quite bad.
The LAN cable supplied is CAT5e not CAT6 which I would expect from all new products.
In overal I'm happy with this product.

        Good but Expected Stronger Range/Reach

Comments about TP-Link N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router:

Looks and also sounds pretty impressive with 3 antennas and dual bands, but even though we live in a 2-bdrm apt with regular walls, and using the lower 2.4 GHz for less loss through hard objects - the signal drops a full 2 bars from one room to the next. Otherwise signal is steady with 1 printer, 1 tablet, 2/3 phones, 2 pcs connected to it at times. The less walls the better. so given the price paid ($40 rebate) and performance so far, this is enough for a 4 rating.

I use this router in home and to access my Synology Diskstation from abroad. The latest firmware update also provides IPV6 capability. The router has a good performance and price.Just like all TP-link products I have, these are all unable to connect with older clients with WPA and TKIP encryption (even with the "n" capability disabled), they only can connect with WEP or no encryption.I have a Vivotek PT7137 IP camera and no connection means a hassle as I have to use another router behind this one to connect these clients. I also own a Cisco Docsis 3.0 router and it can connect to them without any problems. Also experienced a lockup, I was able to ping all addresses with the router diagnostics (so there was internet access), but no internet with wireless or wired connection. After pulling the power for some time, the router was functioning again.

I bought this as a gift for my brother. He plays a lot of content online and his wife downloads significant amounts of information for work. Put these two together and a wireless router speed essential. They are very satisfied with the product and I am happy too by playing my brother online.

This is just ok for the wifi use; good for wires but with this price that can increase speed by wires is a little bit expensive.

Comments about TP-Link N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router:

I received this router a few weeks ago, and so far have been pretty pleased.

The user interface is a little difficult to get used to, and any setting change, wireless channel, security, etc... requires a reboot.

I should mention that the router does not seem to support Nortel VPN client correctly, so I am using it as an access point, with good results. I am getting the same speeds wired to my Comcast 105/20 as I do wireless.... That's saying something...

TP-LINK seems to be a good startup company, but needs just a little more work to get a polished product.

If you get the product on sale, it's worth it. It was trying this or an AC66 (huge price difference) For now, this is working just fine...

Comments about TP-Link N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router:

                        Pros:

Features are great. The actual web UI is easy to use and feature rich. GigE ports. 2 USB ports for printing and/or storage attachment. Simply everything I want from a spec standpoint.

                        Cons:

The wireless connection would drop frequently on all attached devices like laptops and phones. Sometimes the 2.4 GHz would stop completely but the 5 GHz would be fine and vice versa. Not stable enough to be trusted. I'm looking forward to a firmware update or possibly upgrading the firmware to a WRT variant.

Instead of presenting a standard IPP internet printer like DD-WRT does, USB printing with the stock firmware requires each client to have special TP-Link printing software installed. Not only is it a pain to have to install and maintain it everywhere, there is no version for Linux. As a result, Linux printing via USB isn't possible. I confirmed that with their TP-Link's support which was quite responsive but unfortunately couldn't help. I suppose that's also true for other devices like tablets and phones that have a printing capability.

I bought this router to replace an older "G" access point that was bogged down by multiple wi-fi connections since adding additional laptops, phones, and tablets. My 5ghz devices can take advantage of dual radios and distributes the wireless load well. Wi-fi setup was very quick and easy.

Since I did not need router for the network, I was not concerned that it lacks some features like guest networks.

I have not tried connecting an external network drive or enabling ftp yet.

For a basic access point with 3 additional Gig ports you can't go wrong.

I bought this router to replace my Dlink router in which I did not get adequate WIFI strenght in my Sony DASH. I used to get 40% strenghth 3 floors high on my Dlink but with this N750 I am getting only a 20% strength even with the router moved one floor higher than my DLINK.

                                Total disappointment.

Comments about TP-Link N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router:

Setting up the router took some time with the help from technical support.

Wireless speed looks good. Though the router is big in size, the performance looks good.

I see an issue with USB Sharing. This router has USB port on it. So, I connected a portable external hard drive(Toshiba) to it where I have videos. I have Samsung Smart TV which is Wifi enabled. So, I was trying to read the videos from my hard drive connected to router though my Samsung TV. It is sensing the hard drive but unable to read the contents. Whereas I am able to read the contents from my laptop.

When I spoke to technical support from TP-Link they have no idea what the issue is and suggested that a firmware update may resolve the issue.

Hopefully they will release one soon that fixes this issue.

Other than that, I am happy with the product.
