LEE Filters 4x4" Neutral Density (ND) 0.6 Resin Filter
Lee Neutral Density gels are available in small increments and have many uses. They offer the possibility to achieve otherwise unachievable results. ND filters appear grey and reduce the amount of light reaching the film. They have no effect on color balance. They have four main uses: 1) To enable slow shutter speeds to be used, especially with high speed films, to record movement in subjects such as waterfalls, clouds, or cars. 2) To decrease depth of field by allowing wider apertures to be used, which helps separate subjects from their background. 3) To decrease the effective ISO of high speed film (above ISO 400) and allow it to be used outdoors in bright situations. 4) To allow cine and video cameras (which have fixed shutter speeds) to film subjects such as snow, sand or other bright scenes which could cause overexposure.
Lee resin filters are made from lightweight, optical resin and are 4 x 4" (100 x 100mm) x 2mm thick.
These filters are available in increments from 1 to 3 stops exposure reduction.
Neutral Density factors:
ND .30 (exposure adjustment = 1 stop)
ND .60 (exposure adjustment = 2 stops)
ND .90 (exposure adjustment = 3 stops)

Love these filters, HATE figuring out what I need to order them.
The "system" for the filters works really well, but trying to figure out what part goes with what camera and what filter goes with what frame is super confusing. They would sell a ton more of these if they simply grouped them together, and said "this lens ring needs the b1 frame and the b1 frame goes with the c1 series filters" or something like that (those are not the actually names).
Otherwise, once you finally get what you need, the system is very nice. I use the ND filters to stop down when using high powered flash outdoors and the color and sharpness of these filters is awesome!

I really like the quality of all lee filters and this one is no different. I use it with my lee filter holder and it fits perfectly. It seems to be the best option and darkness for my shots of water, and waterfalls. I did hear that the resin scratches easily compared to glass but I just make sure to always keep it in the soft case until I need to use it and I haven't had any problems.

I use it in landscape and portraiture photography, and it is the best filter available in my opinion... a bit hard to find though, but the only problem with it, is that the holder destroys the outside of the filter, but nothing that might inlfuence during the shoots.

Very professional. Don't drop because it scratches easily. The storage pouches are tight and I didn't like inside of the pouches. I use the filters mostly for moving water.

I use this filter with a 0.9 ND filter when taking shots of moving water. Excellent results. Filters are very fragile and scratch easily.
