Galerie Prestige Gold Fibre Silk (17x22" - 25 Sheets) from Ilford features a wide color gamut and a baryta (barium sulphate) layer with a fiber base. The paper is designed for pigment and dye-based ink systems and imitates the look of traditional silver halide photo paper. The paper's 310 g/m2 weight provides a heavy, professional quality medium. The nanoporous instant dry surface provides maximum ink absorption and allows for worry-free paper handling right out of the printer. The paper can be used for both black and white and color prints and provides the ability to imitate chemically toned sepia, gold, selenium & blue images.

Comments about Ilford Galerie Prestige Gold Fibre Silk Paper (17x22" - 25 Sheets):
When opening up the package the nostalgic smell brings me back to the days in the chemistry darkroom. Aside from that the wide color gamut combined with true archival qualities and the traditional look of a photograph makes this paper a no-brainer and well worth the premium costs.
The only thing against this paper is that it is very fragile and scratches very easily. Prompt framing or individual sleeves are highly recommended. Its my goto fine art paper for use in my Epson SP 4900 when a silk surface is required.

Comments about Ilford Galerie Prestige Gold Fibre Silk Paper (17x22" - 25 Sheets):
I use this print paper to make gorgeous prints. It is a remarkable paper, rendering both color and detail with great accuracy and precision. I have been using another top brand for a while but am switching back to GOLD after printing comparisons. It has a slight warm tint to it so those who are looking for pure white will not find it here.

Comments about Ilford Galerie Prestige Gold Fibre Silk Paper (17x22" - 25 Sheets):
Seems to be the default paper among my fellow ICP students this semester, both for color and b & w. We all print from Epson 3880. An old darkroom teacher of mine looked at my prints and thought they were from the darkroom. Great stuff.
