The R1 Adjustable Tilt Ring Mount Package from Nodal Ninja is a lens clamp pano-head for use with circular and full frame fisheye lenses. This package includes everything you'll need to capture enormous panoramas in any direction. The small rotator diameter leaves a very small footprint. This is a great option if you shoot 360° panoramas using a fisheye lens.
The R1 pano head has a unique cantilever tilting option designed with wide angle lenses in mind, which leaves a small nadir footprint in order to minimize its appearance in your images when aiming downward. This package also comes with the adjustable ring clamp that attaches the lens to the R1, rather than the camera, so that camera bodies can be swapped with ease, rather than the lens.
- Kept Out of Frame via Small Footprint
- Options to capture the zenith (directly above) and nadir (directly below) making nadir and zenith patching easier and making sharp long exposure images possible
- 8x Precise Tilting Options
- With this package you'll have eight precise tilting options between -15 and +12.5°. The included RD4 Advanced Rotator brings four detent stops, including 2, 3, 4 and 6 as well as a pan lock. These features provide the ability to roll the camera and lens in any position you need, including the most popular 0, 60 and 90° angles
- Ring Clamp Mounts to Lens
- The ring clamp mounts directly onto the lens itself freeing up the camera, and allowing for different cameras to be used on the same lens without adjusting any settings. An optional rail stop is integrated into the Lens Ring Plate
- There is a built-in spirit bubble level, as well as an optional spirit level that allows rotation to the side and back for better viewing (sold separately)
- Compact Design Good for Monopods & Poles
- Compact and lightweight, the R1 is ideal for pole photography or use with a compatible Arca-Swiss quick release

This is an excellent product. I bought this for use with the Google Photographer program and it works flawlessly. I use this with a Canon 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye lens and I can acquire a full spherical panorama in about 15 seconds once the equipment is set up. Setup takes about 1 minute from when I unzip the case to when I have it mounted onto the tripod. It is a very easy solution and it has rock solid stability.
I am very happy with this product.
