The TRENDnet Megapixel Indoor PoE Camera captures real-time high-quality videos that can be remotely accessed via the Internet. Its 1/4" CMOS sensor delivers high-quality images at a resolution up to 1280 x 800.

The camera produces clear images even in locations with a minimum illumination of 0 lux at f/1.5. The latest H.264 compression technology used by this camera allows you to efficiently utilize your network, even with the highest-quality video.

On detecting any motion in the vicinity, the camera generates alarm triggers via e-mail and uploads the video or images straight to an FTP server. The recorded footage can be stored on a microSD card, which can later be viewed on your smartphone. The built-in microphone lets you communicate with visitors or potential intruders.

The camera is powered via the network itself, without any extra wiring for auxiliary power outlets. Easy-to-install, this camera can be set up in a jiffy. Depending on your needs, you can mount the camera on a wall or ceiling using the included hardware.

Comments about Trendnet Megapixel Indoor PoE Camera:

I use this camera to monitor my home when I am away. I have seven other cameras including 2 older units from Trendnet. This new Trendnet camera is the best for the money. The images are high resolution and clear and the PoE makes for an easy connection to my network. I use a static IP address for my home and port-forwarding in my router for accessing my equipmemnt. I have 3 iViewHD cameras from NetMedia which are sometimes difficult to access and require a hard reset (which can not be done remotely), whereas the Trendnet cameras are always accessable. This camera has amazing capability for the money.

    Very Nice PoE Camera

    • Good value

    • Software A Little Tricky

    Best Uses

Comments about Trendnet Megapixel Indoor PoE Camera:

There are two doors we needed to have better visual on as the receptionists who could buzz in our visitors were both over 30 feet away. Not having to worry about a nearby power source, I was able to place this exactly where it viewed the door best (about nine feet away) using PoE from a PoE switch. Resolution was great, Frames per second was too high, very choppy as the information couldn't be sent that quickly over our gigabit network. Reduced the quality down to 640x400 @ H.264 @ 15 FPS and it still looks fantastic. The receptionists love it. slight half a second delay in actual motion. And it has a microphone. Not too shabby for the price.

Also you have to install the software it comes with for the picture to come in (reason being I have software installed for other cameras *IP252P* and it won't pick up this model of Trendnet camera). Kind of tricky software too. I would suggest letting the wizards do all the work in locating your cameras rather than manual setup.

One camera had an unusual problem where it froze after one minute of usage. Definitely defective but B&H is taking care of it.
